Right here is what should be the last major update for a while as the car is done and finished woohoo Pics say a thousand words so ill post what iv done Recaros are now in and wired up with the loom from rayne automotive wich was very well made Im very very happy with these and they feel amazing to sit in Had to buy a new rad as i had some issues with the cooling system and i exploded an expansion tank !! Basically i thought it was my fault as i left the cap on for the first few minuits and i usually take it of when the water gets to about 60 but it poped well before then ! Anyway i put a different expansion tank on but it still spat coolant out ! What had happend is the seal in the cap had half come off meaning that the cap could not release any pressure at all so a quick change of the cap fixed that one Anyway the new rad and fans All working fine now and happy with my loom , the fans really are good im very impressed with how much air they shift The rest is just boring **** so ill let the finished article do the talking , it still needs a seriouse detail as its grafted from been inthe garage for six months with no protection MOT TOMORROW !! FINGERS CROSSED PLEASE Hopefully it will pass and i can start detailing it , the only jobs left to do are get it tracked up and bleed the clutch , im now insured again so as soon as iv got the money ill be off down to stealth for some mapping

Stainless Steel Replacement Hood Cable Horns!!
sexybourbon replied to dogger's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Sean if you have the patience i have some fixings at home that are the same shape as the trumpets all they will need is a hole drilling through the main body and a hole in one side and tapping for a bolt to stop the cable -
Ill take s look in to it , all i will say though is that im pretty sure its expensive stuff
-
They look even better in vht black ;)
-
Megs also Make sure you apply it quite thick , once you have it in all the gaps get an old towel and buff off otherwise iv found it flicks of on to the paint when its been driven
-
Its called venture sheild , iv used it on some very expensive boats with great finishes You would have to wrap the full bonnet though inless you wasnt bothered to much about a slight line where the matariel would finish ! Saying that it would be less visable than a bonnet bra On another note i was thinking of getting some kits made up for the rear arches where they always get scratched and other areas like the bonnet and the boot shut

Ill post some pics up from today of my problem with the brace and the reservoir Iv managed to squeeze it in for now just so i can enjoy summer with it Im gonna have to keep two 17mm spanners in the car incase i need to be in to top up but hopefully not What a pig to fit , i wish id not have bothered but when id posted this up last night id already removed the abs grommets tht hold the sensors on the struts and i wasnt expecting them to leave quite the mess it did so for now the only thing i could do is cover it over with the circular brackets for he brace

-
Shame that dave but you will get there , have a couple of weeks of it then go back and finish it off then go and enjoy it before pulling it to bits again

Very very nice mic , it looks fantastic on those wheels aswell Now all you have to do is not touch in to much haha ... Only kidding
-
I know what you mean but id still wuite like to fit it plus it looks nice aswell wich im all for As for emptying it i didnt have that in mind , it literally just needs to move back or forward an inch or so it doesent beed to come fully off , i was hoping i could pull it of its mounts and maybe just push it back slightly so the bar has clearance Ill try take some pics tomorrow to make it a. Bit clearer
-
Thanks sean thats good info, i didnt want to yank it up of its bumgs and fid out that actually its a pipe full of brake fluid and have it go all over the new bay Still cant believe what a faff it is just to fit a strut brace !
-
That looks great mate
-
Cool thanks jim i only need it to move forward or back a tad so i can fit the bar
-
As per title can the brake fluid res be moved as its stopping me from fitting the weichers upper strut brace ! I need it to move forwards or back a couple of inch so the bar is clear to go across the bay Not sure if the res is connected to anything uderneath or weather its hust fixed in place with rubber gromets / bungs Id like to get this gitted before it goes for any alignment so any help would be great Thanks in advance
