how much more horse power do you get from a pollen filter??
-
diagnostic doesn't necessarily mean reading the error codes... it means someone knowledgable checks out the car and diagnoses the source of the problem. there's daz. sort him out
-
"look at me,I have a really fast car and a very small appendage" lol exactly why you dont get a scoob, vette, nsx or viper.
-
you dont have your location in your details... if you're in north america try germanautoparts.com ...but i don't think you are. hey i'm not guaranteeing it will work, but what do you want without paying for a diagnostic??

not too sure why daz or any of the SNS guys haven't spoken up... all i've heard about lately is 5k flat spots. supposedly... its incredibly likely that it is the hall sender. has anyone here encountered a 5k flat spot that has recently replaced the hall sender? i doubt it. this tends to be a problem that gets blamed on the chip, or on the fuel system not being able to cope with upgrades after a chip/pulley/whatever has been done.. what it comes down to is that the chip (a strong chip, like SNS's) amplifies the problems that may already be present with your sensers. that includes o2, knock, pressure and coolant sensors, co pot and hall sender. (goes without saying that this is why you get your car running 100% before you fuck around with mods) i'm fairly confident that if you replace the hall sender (as long as the other seners are good) it will cure the problem. if you haven't replaced the hall sender before its worth doing even if it doesn't solve the infamous 5k flat spot. i wish i had my car together and on a dyno so i could see if i had this problem... i'm curious to see if the hall sender does the trick..........

where's skye? he's got some wicked corrado girly pics  8)

looks ok. i like the single round headlights on mk1 and mk2 golfs/jettas...however the corrado isn't round. its sharp and angular. the original euro lights are the best option for a classy tasteful corrado IMO.

a local guy here had a white no-sunroof G60 with those rims. it never ran right and he didnt spend any money on it. he ended up selling and buying a *cough* civic. :?

DOH! busted cog :x  nice ride. very clean. i was thinking about painting the gauge/stereo surround silver (to match brushed alum. accessories) but i thought it would look cheese. looks good though! :D

hey am i mr g60?? whoot! tight install. looks great on dark cars :) i'd consider it but my car is silver.. too much contrast IMO.

if you have a stage 4 charger it would be wise to consider a new chip to handle the extra pressure, for sure if you use a smaller pulley. depending on how much air is actually getting into the engine, you may also need larger injectors for top-end fueling. ..then you get into cams and head porting for more flow and so on and so on until you're wallet is empty and your girlfriend is long gone with a dude in an slow ugly car with time and money to take her shopping.

nice one

if you drop the back end the front end will come up a bit... at least, the space between ground and lip spoiler will increase.

thats just a tasteless photochop Thats not photoshop ... it was a dude on vortex that took that picture about a year ago... the bottom looks a lot like chop to me! angles and perspective are all wrong. that lime green one would be reasonable if it didnt have volkswagen written across the back. the colour isnt to my taste.. :?
-
hm.. dont think its the same over here. see a lot of mr2s.. not many corrados and corrado parts are $$$$.
-
thats just a tasteless photochop the super bling rear rims and shabby fronts really round-out the boy racer look  that first one.. the cream and red one, is the king of mutated corrados. the bodywork was very skillfully carried out, but its not in good taste.. and why not paint the top to match? it looks like they ran out of paint and left the top with original paint
-
if its for your girlfriend i'd let her decide. the result of that will come down to looks (i assume), as both cars are fast... the MR2 probably has the potential for higher horsepower on the stock motor... she probably isn't too concerned with it being crazy fast... as long as its fast, and both cars are. so it will probably be whichever she likes best for looks. MR2 is a total chick car.. so if its for her go for it. and if you think she may abuse or neglect the vehicle... go with the MR2. (i hate to see abused corrados)

i'd trust the worker.. gap is 0.024"
-
is the 20vt in a corrado?
-
ah well. what can ya do?? i'd do like daz suggested and swap out the outers for orange tops for mot. spare outers shold be cheap... i've bought a complete set for $10US once. :D
-
try orange bulbs under the red paint instead of clear... see if that helps.
-
NGKs will *work*.. but Bosch are the proper spec, last longer, and come with the proper gap. this is such an integral park of a well-behaved car that i wouldn't mess around.

almost 4 months have passed. i had the car running just right, all the little fixes behind me, and then of course the corrado demons perk up and i have a severe electrical issue. almost a fire but i pulled the battery terminals in time. now that winter is nearly here i'm preparing the car for storage, and i'm savin my nickels. i'm also in the process of arranging pick-up of a '90 G60 out of pennsylvania for parts. the latest corrado conundrum is do i go with a front mount intercooler between the headlights, or an air/water charge cooler. i don't want to mess with the bodywork and i want as short an intake path as possible. regardless of extra weight and complexity, i think i will end up going A/W.. i'd like to try to relocate the throttle body to BEFORE the charge cooler, to drastically cut down on heat soak during regular driving. thats the main problem with a charge cooler, get's heatsoaked at a faster rate than a FMIC if the cooler is continuously under boost, which for us is always as the supercharger is always spinning. the idea is to have the un-needed boost to blow off before the cooler. ta for now :salute:
