My plan was to have VW carryout the full 80k service and inspection. Whilst in the workshop I'll have them give me a full run down on EVERYTHING that is wrong with the car and a quote for rectification. (Should be interesting). With this in hand i'll take the car to a friend at John Austin in Marks Tey (Independant Specialist and club discounts :) ) and have them carry out anything the actaully needs doing (incl MOT) plus anything VAG pick up if the budget allows.
-
Rica, that email for vicky is wrong. PM me and i'll pass it on.

I have been given the name a firm called Autostrasse in Coggashall (N.Essex). A friend who has just had his porsche serviced by AS saw a Corrado on their ramps but i've not seen the firm mentioned on any of the forums. It don't think the VAG service is worth the price but I guess it'll be foolish to ruin the full VAG history so close to sale.

I need to get the Storm serviced. £240 for the 80k service (incl plug change). Extortionate? (The car will be sold in the next 12 months so i really want a VAG service just to complete the log book)

I'm sure the committee will appreciate that.

How about, once the AGM is over and the 'new' committee is in place we have a round up issue of the Sprinter outlining EVERYTHING that has happend over the past 3 years. Hopefully, that'll put an ended to all this confusion and stop the bickering.
-
The missing website isn't the fault of the committee. It was down to one person who was a bit late in providing the website host with his credit card details. For this I am sorry.

Next door's Mog seems to think a warm VR bonnet is an idea place to settle for the night. It won't be if ever catch it.
-
Arse. Why, oh why, were they not built like golfs. Guess it'll have to be a paintshop job. Never mind. It's a good, if somewhat expensive, excuse to get the stone chips and cat claw marks out of the bonnet.

I've just had a small rock hit the lower grill strip and leave a nice dent and damaged paint. (Luckly missed the head and fog lights!). Does anyone happen to know how much VAG want for a new one? Or, does anyone have a spare in Classic Green? Thanks J

ANOTHER Corrado yesterday night in Ipswich. Green, Crystal rear lights, heading towards Copdock R'bout. Ipswich appears to be the home to most of the Corrado's in East Anglia!

Andi, did you ever fit that number plate surround?

Gran Turismo 4 - what do you think of it?

Oh, and the MK1 round the ring is great fun. Power is nothing without control :) -

Probably classed as cheating but if you spec up, say, a Mitsi Evo 7 and enter 2nd or 3rd Jap race in B Spec you'll soon get a GT 350Z which can be entered into the Jap GT series without any mods and wipe the field. If you use B-Spec you can do all this whilst eating dinner. Result, 150k in prize money and car worth £250k. Just enough the fully spec my M3 CSL. -
Just seen two in Ipswich. Black on 5 spoke 17' and a blackberry VR6 M711 ***

Dead cert classic then, just like the best of them :D Another key point is that the shape hasn't dated too badly. As Top Gear said, 'who'd want to be seen getting out of a Calibra'

What are the tell tale signs of original mileage
corradostorm replied to Dub Style's topic in General Car Chat
I guess check the dash screws for damage, although, the Corrado is getting on a bit now and therefore may well have had the clocks out for genuine repairs. Always ask why any screws etc... look damaged. -
It would be possible if each page had, say, a 16 by 16 grid of cars. Admin nightmare thou!

CCGB? It will be 12 black and white photocopies and a request for £15 if they get involved. Lets keep it CF please. Interesting, the person who first put forward the idea is the Corrado Club's webmaster... ;) Erm...... I decided to investigate this Calendar idea as neither the CF nor the CCGB had made any head way in producing one. It wasn't to be associated with either group unless they specifically wanted to be involved. My pet project if you wish  . (JB, I'm a member of CCGB and the CF and Jct29 but this little project is unrelated.) If you guys want a pure CF Calender please let me know and i'll happy stop this one now (I just want a Corrado calender  ). No point in having two! Might be worth closing this tread and openning a CF Calendar Section somewhere on the forum.
-
Right boys and girls. I've been doing some research and this could be a goer 8). I've a printer already lined up. (Remember, a calender hasn't got to run fron Jan to Dec!) First of all, how may people would be interested in purchasing a Corrado Calender (our UK cars). Would you be prepared to pay £7.50, £10 or £12.50? (i.e. is it viable as price depends on print run) Would you prefer our cars or full on show cars, one car per page, multiple cars, technical data etc... You get the idea. Once we have enough comments I'll be looking for inpur (i.e. pics) and drafting a design. I'll be happy to in on this with the CF or CCGB if either party is interested. Jamie (CCGB, CF and Jct29 member)

Gareth. As always, the next sprinter after the AGM will have a copy of the minutes.
-
Should be a lively AGM. But, please remember, while the lack of a sprinter may suggest the CCGB is relatively inactive can i assure you that this is far from the truth. The committee are working very hard behind the scenes to get things sorted for 2005 and to put the club on good standing for the future. Please wait for the AGM to hear what we have done (and will be doing) before condeming us. Thanks Jamie CCGB Web site

There is/will be a Corrado Club specific forum. Details to be announced later. (Probably at the AGM) It will NOT interfere with the CF (which is a private site run by Andi) and it will NOT be a chat site. Whilst I must declare my allegiance to the CCGB (as I believe it has a role not meet by the CF and I enjoy the Sprinter in paper form as I can't read a pdf file whilst stuck in traffic!), may I remind you that Andi does accept donations for the upkeep of the CF (if you feel your £15 could be better spent).
