    G60 airbox

Thanks Spuddy. I have one that is missing a few clips. Includes Green cotton air filter.
  2. I have for sale the following Engine parts all from a 92 G60 PG engine code. Flywheel - SOLD Standard Camshaft - £15 Cam Pulley - £10 PG Head. Minus cam and cam covers. Several snapped studs hence - £30
  3. I missed the reply form Vagstuff. Anyone else interested @ £10 posted?
  4. Still here. Any interest @ £70 pickup? Pics attached to the first post.
  5. Actually it's not that bad. A404 to High Wycombe and a couple of junctions on the M40. It's going to be a couple of weeks before I get a day pass though. If you haven't sorted it before then drop me a PM and we'll work out a date.
  6. Where abouts are you? If you can wait a few weeks I may be able to pop over and give you a hand fault finding (I'm located close to Reading).
  7. I have a couple of scopes if you want to borrow one. If you are in the Aylesbury area i'm not a million miles from you.
  8. I can't see any in the Pic posted. There are plenty of tant beads but they tend to fail short circuit leaving only the leads behind.
  9. Is the ignition map in the VR ECU? If so it indicates the ROM / Processor section is working. Are there any damaged tracks or discoloration on the other side of the PCB?
  10. Here's a couple of pic's of it on the car. Just to reiterate it's just the bumper that's up for grabs.
  11. Any interest? If not it's off to the tip at the weekend.
  12. I have been looking at this of late as I have kit that uses Porsche 996 calipers which requires a 16 inch rim. I want to stick with the BBS RZ but can't find a fixed piston caliper that will fit under that rim without a spacer. But I really don't want to use spacers....
  13. Does it fit under the std wheel without a spacer?

    1.8 crankshaft..

I've a G60 crank in the garage in good condition. Getting it to Rome won't be cheap though. PM if interested.
  15. Sorry the interior and dash went before Christmas
  16. ..and that assumes that the rest of the car is up to managing the power hike. Brakes / suspension will all need up-rating. Can a VRT with 350+ bhp get all that to the road even with a LSD without spinning the front wheels up?
  17. The call center person will not have authority to approve your claim and will be reading from a script. I'd start by speaking to the call center manager and ask the question if they are authorized to approve your claim. If not ask to speak to someone who is. If you get no-where take it to small claims.
  18. Not sure about the VR but my G60 still has a Conlog immobilizer and it was a dealer fit.
  19. I have a pedal box from a 92 G60; first refusal to Graphite though.
  20. I'm not sure which brakes you went from / to but if you take the G60 caliper it uses a 54mm piston. If we assume 0.5mm of piston travel then the each piston displaces 4580 mm cubed or 9161 for a pair. The Porsche 996 caliper (996.351.425) uses a pair of 40 + 36mm pistons. Using the same 0.5mm of piston travel all 8 pistons displace 18,196mm cubed which is slightly less than double the G60 caliper. Assuming of course my math is correct. Now I know this theory is flawed as the G60 is a floating caliper and the Porsche a fixed but it goes some way to explain why the pedal travel is increased Echoing the previous posts whilst I would expect more travel your brakes should not be spongy. I too think you have air in the system.
  21. Do you have a multi-meter? If so start by checking you have 12v between pins 3/5 (Ground) and pins 11 /13 (B+) on the cluster with the ignition on. If you look at the back of the cluster there should be a small hole in the housing (approx 1.5mm in diameter). Pin 1 is the nearest to that hole. The rest are numbered as follows looking at the back of the cluster. 14.....1 28.....15 Assuming you have 12v on these pins then the next check is the voltage regulator that supplies the pcb inside the cluster. This is a LM2940T-10 (TO-220 device)and is visible beneath 2 rectangular cut outs on the opposite side. Check 'LM2940' is written on the device. The tab with the pop rivet through it (securing it to the heatsink) is ground and with the tab at the top the pins are from left to right In, Ground, Out. Check the Out pin with the ignition on. It should be 10v or there abouts. Be careful not to short the pins when taking measurements. If this makes no sense and your near to Reading I can help.
  22. Sam can you post a pic of what you are after. I have a few spare headlight cases.
  23. With a daily that emits 322 g/Km I always watch the VED updates with trepidation.
  24. Read through this thread http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?14544-G60-owners-please-read-this For the sprocket £15 inc postage? I'll post a pic later today.
  25. Crank bolt failure on the G60 is not uncommon. Check the sticky in Engine Bay. If you are looking for the toothed pulley I have a spare.
