  1. I seem to recall (it was over 10 years ago) my ticking noise started when the engine was warm and was most noticeable between idle and 2.5K rpm. Are you able to post a link to a video?
  2. Any idea where the ticking is coming from? Before starting it for the first time after it's storage did you turn it over by hand? If so was it free? I had a ticking from the first G60 I owned. Turned out to be a snapped piston ring not that i'm suggesting you have the same issue.
  3. A quick update that may be of interest to G60 owners. Last night I stripped down the remains of my supercharger and have found what I believe to be the cause of the failure. The woodruff key that locks the timing pulley to the displacer shaft was missing! The timing had obviously slipped and then the charger locked stripping the timimg belt of 1/4 of it's teeth before it finally snapped. This was a VW supplied low mileage charger that to the best of my knowledge had not been re-built!
  4. Are you running an external oil cooler or the stock heat exchanger?
  5. I'm trying to recall what my oil temps did in relation to the water as my G60 has been off the road for a few months now. I'm sure that water use to run at around the mid 90's and oil anywhere up to 120 on the MFA.
  6. Do you want my early lens? £20 + P&P?
  7. If it's a 95 then it should have the later lenses. What's fitted to the drivers side?
  8. Here are some pics of my spares
  9. The lenses are different pre and post face lift. Which are you after? (I may have both).
  10. 'What are the concerns regarding the G-lad?' - After been laid up for that period of time i'd personally not take the risk with the Cam or Supercharger timing belt especially if the engine has not been started and allowed to run up to temp regularly. My displacer bearing failed last year. Take a look at my thread. http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?95656-Super-Charger-Timing-Belt-Failure&highlight=charger
  11. Pouring Diesel in the bores is a last resort attempt to free seized pistons. Assuming the engine turns over i'd follow Andrew's advice. Full service and build up oil pressure before allowing it to fire.
  12. Don't be tempted to start it as is. New cam belt, supercharger timing belt, supercharger oil feed and return lines are a must IMHO. On top of a general service check fuel lines and replace any that have started to perish. I'd also be tempted to replace the hose from the throttle body to the ECU.
  13. Jaybo, Ref. the G-Werks ROM - If it helps the 'GWerks 6' signature is the same as the one in my old car running a 65mm pulley with std injectors / inter-cooler. You'd need to do a binary file compare to ensure they are the same image.
  14. Anna, I have a spare original. Would you like me to ship it to you?
  15. I guess the 'other guy' is me. Sorry I lost your details...PM sent.
  16. Anna, The sample hose is a slightly different profile to the original & the end that fits to the rad is smaller making it very difficult to get it over the rad outlet. I have taken photos of the hoses next to each other and hopefully you can see their lengths & the angle of the end that joins to the metal pipe are different. I did not fit your hose to the metal pipe; as you can see in the pic the alignment is such the hose runs parallel to it. Fitting would cause the hose to kink. I also noted the original has a sleeve fitted where it comes into contact with a PAS pipe. Will your production version have this feature? I'm going to re-fit my original now. Do you want your sample returned?
  17. There are a few reasons why it is better to fit to the negative terminal but in reality and for a road car it doesn't really matter. I had one fitted (by the previous owner) to my Audi S2 Avant. Was useful for isolating the battery in Airport Carparks when away for long business trips and for a quick reset of the ECU.

Just released that your a VR and i'm a G60 (4-stud). Sorry to get your hopes up... 'Last part of my dash? ' - Sorry i'm confusing people. 'not got a sunroof have you?' - I have. Was keeping it as a spare but could possibly be persuaded.
