ok just been on the phone to my specialist to ask him about my clutch on my vr6 cos it's very stiff now he reckons a whole new clutch but this after one of his monkeys tried to tell me that it should be ok with a new cable :wink: so obviously i informed there is'nt one and began asking him about the slave cylinder (i think thats right) and he was adament that the cylinder would'nt make it stiff help me out guys i'm not convinced by this guy at all.. :?

thers no juddering but once the clutch is released it does sometimes feel like the clutch catches up with itself about asecond later !!!! does this mean new clutch :?: it's the only bit i don't know much about !!!

it did i'm gonna miss it theres something about the 16v engine i like don't get me wrong like the VR6 more but that 1.8 is such a willing engine you just can't fault it :D

i've finally got my VR6 and she is a bute, aqua blue with heated grey leather, spax 40mm running on 17 momos, passat handles, k&n induction kit and full stainless magnex exhaust. it's done 119000 miles with full vagsh and going in for a major service next week plus a new clutch cable as well, otherwise she is great oh and it's had the side strips removed which imho is a nice touch anyway i'll post some pics when i get a chance and i'm gonna go and have another drive not sure where yet though oh well :D what a car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just a quick one what tyre pressures are good 205/45/17 currently running 36 front 34 rear ps anyone who knew me before i was under josh but know under fec!

just had a look at the corrado.be link and was looking through the photos when i came accross a photo of an interior when spotted that on this c it had three lcd displays the two normal one on the speedo and mfa but there was one on the rev counter two :?: has anyone ever seen this before and do we know what it's for :?:

theres a p-reg c on the autotrader at the moment totally stock too thats about as new as your gonna get and sorry buddy but i think someone has had you on there :D

i'll second that was never a fan of magnex untill i had a go in vr6 with a full magnex exhaust on it sounded lovely really throaty but not over the top just mho :D

how much is vag-com and what's the score with this i keep reading about it but have'nt heard about it before :?:

i've only ever used autotrader and with a little patience the one i've wanted has come up but don't forget your going for a car that is prietty rare and like me you know exactly what you want which means your setting yourself up for even more disapointmant but it will turn up eventually :)

try not to be put off by over 100k the one i'm going to look at has done 118k but has full vag new spax dampers and springs all the bushes done new pads discs allround heated leather with 17 momos and a few other simple mods like a full stainless exhaust and upgraded wiring loom for lights ect: ( and no it's not on the trader) with a brand new mot and he wants 4500 so they are out there and worth hunting for. oh and yeah i hate a salesman with all the blag puts me off a car straight away but check it out if only for experience in what they are like each is different in it's own way but are worth every penny imo :D

i thought that too i'm sure if your car requires v rated tyres by law you must fit them with it good point though why why why are we still restricted to 70 in this country but i'll save that for another thread for another day :D

imho i think cos it's got cloth interior no a/c or heated seats, it's a prietty bog standard vr, so for that price it's ok but just because it's got 93000 doesn't mean it's any better than one with 120000 (hence fvagsh) so just be carefull that it's not a trader putting a few extra quid on a c that for a private sale is more likely imho to be around 4500 but still check it out cos if, like he said it's really tidy c you've got yourself a lovely car , i'm going to look at one on saturday keeping my fingers crossed :D

anyone know if a accelerater cable from a 91 1.8 16v will fit on a L reg vr6 cos i know on the later 16v they made a lot of mods incl the cable but don't know if there the same as the vr's ( i appoligise now if this is a stupid question) :?:

so what about 205 on 17's on a vr6 !!!

make sure it has full vag history for that price!! :)
