i hear what your saying but i was never a fan of the original interior unless it was the full leather recaro but they are like hens teeth in the mk2 so it does'nt bother me and these have been fitted properly all the electrics work etc but i would like to change the wheels .....

for wheels that is !!!

well i took your guys advice and went for the mk2 thought you might like to see some photos i'm really pleased the 16v is sweet as a nut loads of history and un fettled she's going in to have the exhaust done tom so will get rid of the nasty back box thats on there and got a couple of other things to do like clear side repeaters and a ROUND steering wheel!! etc...

cheers buddy have to sort one of those out, mine has a porsche interior with electric lumbar and bolster makes a real nice touch to the car but mine is a 16v gotta say i love it jjust so much fun to drive it has only got 110 on the clock and has been loved all its life really chuffed with it would put up a pick but can't reduce the pixel size at the mo... that wiper did you put the motor in as well or did you just replace the arm (is it as simple as that) just cant see how the motion of the motor will work with the arm cos mine goes left to right and yours must go right to left.... :?:

that sounds like the problem there are two connections coming off the back of the wheel but they are both exactly the same and go to both the buttons, so one shud go to the connection and one shud connect onto the boss i suppose, as fo the gear knob i've tried all of the above but will give it one more go, thanks very much for your help tho, gotta love this forum.

hey guys, i have just managed to get my hands on an original golf ball gear knob for mk2 cos it has a momo alloy one but i can't get it off does any one know if there is a special trick with this or shud it just un-screw thanks in advance for any ideas.... also the horn only works when the spade clip is touching the steering boss, it has a ripspeed wheel with two buttons for the horn these are connected but push the button and nothin, but touch it against the boss and sounds constantly anyone help me with this as well (not a fan of these sports wheels!!!!)

yeah i do feel that is the way im going i don't want to spend anymore than 2 grand and i could get a really nice mk2 for that cheers for your input tho....

having a nightmare i can't make my mind up between a mk2 golf gti with a 2 litre conversion it's very nice and a good price or a 1.8 16v c i've had two 16v cs and two vr6's like everyone here just got thing for corrados but at the mo with my job i can easily easily cover 1000 miles a week, and i'm using a mk4 golf gti to do it it's fine but i don't want to loose money on it and to be honest hate it... soooooo boring... thought maybe you guys could help .......

thinking about fitting a spax kit to my vr6 no adjustable and i was having a conversation with someone about the mcpherson nut on the front set-up, my question is i i'm removing the original set-up completely do i need this tool to undo the nut or can i just remove the complete unit (standard shocker and damper) and replace it with the spax set-up!!!!!!! can anyone reccommend a cheap place to buy this kit from.....

driving down the m4 at the weekend and a rumble noise started and gradually got worse through the journey, best i can explain this is it sounds like there is a lump in the tyre as i am getting a vibration through the steering wheel it's coming from the drivers side front, i've checked the tyre and wheel both seem fine could it be .. cv joint, drive shaft (it doesnt make any noise on full lock so don't think it could be this) or simply the balance weight has fallen off, the noise begins at around 40mph and gets worse with speed, if anyone can help i'ed be well chuffed... :!:

there ok i just find they struggle if the weather is damp there ok in the rain and there great when hot but it's just damp conditions that theydon't like but otheerwise yeah there a good tyre :D thanks by the way
