As title says really lads anyone know the tightening sequence for the big inlet manifold bolts and what do I torque them down to? Help much appreciated

Ok friends I am BAFFLED ! I'm 90% way through my engine overhaul, today I went to fit my new rocker cover gasket (I've got the plastic rocker cover) now , on my actual rocker cover there is a recess or cut out if you will where it looks to me the gasket should fit. On the gasket I've been supplied with it doesn't fit in the recess it fits onto the actual head but on my rocker cover there is 2 tabs that I presume fit either side of the half moon even though the tabs don't seem to fit well at all on either side of the half moon the tabs actually deform how the gasket sits and clearly would allow oil leakage I know this is a long winded description but I really am out of ideas here lol. There must be a gasket out there that fits into the cutout in my plastic rocker cover I just can't find it 😒 any help much appreciated cheers guys.

Cheers Jim much appreciated mate !

Could you link me the ones you bought Jim ? I've been on there site but there's a lot of choice.

Now then fella's, I've recently bought a set of samco hoses and have been recommended to use spring band clamps to avoid slippage and the clamps scoring into the hoses. I've found a few uk suppliers but on the company's websites they rate spring band clamps at 2 out of 5 for strengh, anyone recommend a company or any advice on where/what to buy. Cheers guys.

Are you on about the pcv valve mate? Little plastic circular looking thing. If so and the pipe is split I think you can expect a rough starting and bit of a lumpy idle.
-
Jim that would be great if you could get the sizes mate. Thanks for the tip.

Just cos im exited, and after a 4 week wait my new purple samcos just arrived :-D
-
Now then everyone, yesterday i fitted a new thermostat, housing and crack pipe, and I've got some samco hoses on order, im making sure the cooling is as strong as possible for when my rado gets back on the road. Can someone possibly point me in the right direction of wich sensors i should change whilst Im at it. I have read the definitive cooling guide but i really don't want to make a mistake of ordering the wrong parts. Mine is a N reg 1995 corrado vr6. Im thinking the 3 sensors in the thermo housing and any that go into the radiator? Quite honestly im baffled by the choice on vw heritage. If anyone could possibly link me i would massively appreciate it.

Has anyone ever had trouble logging into vw heritage? Very annoying really made an account with them they sent me a username (wich was basically my email) and they provided a password, and i cant login to there website it says "login failed " i cant use the reset password feature neither. Needed to order ignition switch didn't really want to buy a random ebay switch.

Im not clued up on the g60 at all mate but going off logic seeing as the g60 was the first engine along with the 1.8kr i would think the g60 is a 2E engine? im sure lilfuzzer is breaking a corrado 8v at the moment so from what you said about the ADY you could get the correct abs pump from him if yours isn't going to fit. Best of luck getting it sorted mate
