Part numer for gearbox end plate bolts & What oil
jscVR6 replied to VR6Pete's topic in Suppliers Forum
The 5 bolts that hold the steel end plate on are N 101 430 03 (M7 x 20). -
All looks fine to me apart from you forgot the "N" on N 019 533 10 (x4 engine/gearbox mounts into the subframe). There's nothing else i can think of. Prices shouldn't be too bad, don't think any of the bolts are silly money, but it does add up.

The ARB Clamp Bolt part number changes from N 0195382 to N 0195389, doesn't matter which number you use to order, the dealer will supply the 9 number.

N reg Mystic Storm at the end of my road in Ifield, Crawley... anyone on here?

Right, i've cross referenced your list with my list and ETKA: "x4 N 90226403 shouldered hex. nut, self-locking M8 / for steering rack bolts" - these super-seed to N 90226404 and are also used for the ARB link bolts, so you will need x6 TOTAL of these. "X2 N 90184501 hexagon head bolt c/w shoulder M8X75X33B Steering Rack Bolts" - you will need x4 of these, not 2. You don't have listed the 4 bolts which hold the engine/gearbox mounts into the subframe 4x N 01953310 If you're undoing the top of the engine/gearbox mounts they are N 10241605 x1, N 91127001 x1 (mine were corroded when i changed the mounts) And do you need the bolts and retaining plates for the lower ball joints, as you'll have to swap these over? If you're not touching the hubs/shocks then that should be it. ---------- Post added at 1:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 1:23 AM ---------- Just noticed I think you may have the wrong part numbers for the steering rack rubber and clamp. The UK VR6 had a TRW rack I believe, which uses: 191422884 Rubber 191419875 Clamp

I've just double checked on ETKA and the part numbers that differ slightly are just where VW have superceeded them, they're the same bolt. The rear bush bolt is the same for any type of bush, it's just the way I've described it.

Here's a list of parts i've been building up for my front suspension rebuild, should cover everything you may need:

I started using Poorboys natural look dressing a while ago as it seemed to get the best reviews on detailing forums, and been using it ever since, great stuff.

I've not fitted my gauges yet, but the info comes from others on this forum that i kept note of for when i do. Couple of threads that discuss the wiring: Last post on pg 3: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?60580-ALL-SOLD!!-Last-5-RHD-Corrado-facelift-VDO-Gauges-%A3169-00-each-including-postage/page3 And more info: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?13167-My-new-VDO-Gauges/page3&highlight=VDO+Gauges

The heater matrix is the same as for non air con vehicles, i changed mine ('96 VR with air con) a while ago and used the Valeo unit from GSF as was recommended on various threads on here. GSF part numbers from the invoice: 178VG0041 17832b

I'd definitely be interested in your green with blue/red centre dial (your Green V2.1)

When i was looking for a dual pole sender the only place i could find that listed the correct one under the correct part number of V360023 was VW Heritage: http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Oil-press-sender-150psi-Gauge-6-9psi-switch-2-pin_act_shop.product_pID_90289_lang_EN_country_GB.htm

Anyone going Santa Pod on Sunday? VR6OC club stand spaces available
jscVR6 replied to VR6Pete's topic in General Car Chat
Well the weather's looking good for tomorrow so I'm gonna take a trip up. If you've still got room on the stand for a fairly standard VR then I'll come and join you? -
I used a 31mm smd led bulb from ebay, much brighter and fits the same: like this one - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/White-1W-High-Power-Festoon-Interior-LED-SMD-Dome-C5W-Light-Lamp-Bulbs-31mm-12V-/290664441076?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43acf364f4&_uhb=1#ht_3234wt_1186

Received mine during the week, and got it fitted today. Can only repeat what others have said, was straight forward to fit and well worth it, made a big improvement, feels like it should have come from the factory that way! Many thanks again Dave.

Could you add my name to the list please Dave for when you have one available. Cheers, J
