  5. cheers guys, i've got access to the caliper winding tool and was planning to get the whole bits from GSF, is the hub nut torqued up or does it have a pin split pin going through?
  6. I'm going to change the rear pads/discs/handbrake cables on my car (1991 g60 non abs) what parts do i need and wheres the best place to get them, dealer ecp, gsf? Also i've never done rear brakes o a VW before so i believe the disc also has the wheel bearing as part of it, what the procedure to remove it? are there any potential problems i may incurr? Its probably simple enought, just dont want to get caught out on a sunday when i attempt to do it

  8. a 10 inch would give a more punchier sound than a twelve if all other factors remain the same, a twelve would drop more meaning better lower frequency base
  9. Charger rebuilds cost anything between the region of 350 - 500 Yup the quality of parts differ between suppliers. I have seen a few blown chargers (including some that had jabba stickers on them), so getting a rebuild was precautionary but i did notice better performance since having the rebuild. It is also vital to use the correct grade of oil for thr g60s

  12. yup i agree with henny, dont let them decide how much your car is worth by looking in the glass guide. Corrado can fetch much more than book price so collect adverts and print forum pages, whatever you have to do to get them to pay more
  13. and i'll have the rest! Bleeding the brakes you dont need much probably about a litre would do. Make sure the resevoir is doesnt go empty while your bleeding the system, are you going to do the clutch too?
  14. i think theres no difference on width, just the bumper swage line is slightly different
  15. Late bumper on an early would protrude slightly at the wheel arch as later wings are slightly flared

IIRC i dont think there is a way you can use the engine management from the 9A to work with the 20v Most cars with the 20V came with a transponder immobiliser built into the ECU, so you can either use an aftermarket ECU or use the transponder circuit (maybe instrument cluster) and key from the donor car. There is a way it can be done with the G60 digifant, but you need a kit (from volksports) to adjust the cam timing, and need to bin the coilpacks. HTH

  20. Sounds like the fuel pump is dead
  21. I dont think the fuel pump would be on the same fuse as the spoiler, refer to the owners handbook. Firstly, you want to see whether your getting a supply of power to the fuel pump, when the ignition is switched on there should be a short feed usually about 3 seconds to prime the fuel pump, once the car is running the fuel will be operating constantly. Try feeding a live to the fuel pump from an amp if you have one or the rear light switch if you can hear it then its working ok and theres a problem in the feed. What do mean about the short relay? Does your car have an alarm or immobiliser fitted?
  22. Pablo, didnt you used to have a Rover 420 turbo, because im sure you were on the roverload forum. I had a rover coupe turbo too, lots of fun for silly money and suprisingly mine never leaked oil!

  24. Sorry just to clarify, i meant taking the in pro rear lights off and switch to standard, leaving the uprated lights as they are. The car has got service history up to 80,000 but becuase the service book was lost the previous owner had all the service history in a printout. After that the service was done by himself with all the reciepts for the parts used.
