    not really, ok granted that the g60's can blow, but other than that the engine is pretty robust and with the 16 valves you would get other problems like the mechanical injector unit failing, cold start valve etc. I think you could get a decent g60 for 2k but budget about 400 -500 for a charger rebuild
  6. Bit of a late reply! but when i looked at the magic black paint (during respray period) it had only silver & blue flakes in the paint where as mine LA9V Brilliant black metallic has gold, silver, blue, green and red flakes in the paint

  9. last time a got a quote for the dash it was over £2k, the steering wheel is already trimmed in leather. Capiagn: the headrest are not going to be touched, its only the the driver side lumber and bolster that is really worn and needs replacing. Would the bolsters be available from vw or is it a recaro part?
  10. You asked for it! Its much cheaper to go to a tyre place that do wheel alignment got mine done for about £50 at elite in essex, also most dealers dont have laser aligment they use mechanical guages which i feel is not as accurate.

  12. cable from the late mfa switch ( the cable which runs down the right hand stalk) was shorter then the old style. thats probably because it wasnt from a corrado. i've done this and it is possible with no modifications cant remember if the hazard switch is attached to the stalk, dont think it is

  14. Its about time i restored the campaign interior to its original glory. Does anyone have any idea on what leather was used on the campaign interior, colour code, grain, thickness etc. If i was to take it to a retrimming specialist like mj's would he match the leather or would he find the best alternative from his own colection in which case it will not be 100% matching. It feels that the leather vw used in their interior is softer than the one fitted to the campaign is that due to slones of kesington subcontracting the work out to local re-trimmers (does anyone know who this was?) or is there another reason for that?

    i got mine done from extreme cost bout £90 just for the rear reduced the rubbing but not eliminated, i was looking into fitting larger bump stop so the wheel cant reach the arch

  19. I think Nick Micoris and Alex Apose Gils corrado should be in the list too one a mint standard and the others going to be a balls out 2.1 16 g60, i give credit to alex because he could've thrown money and fitted a 20v turbo but he's taken a better option and gone for a rarer conversion

  21. you might have an air leak or the cold start valve, air flow unit has packed up. cant remember exactly how to check these but search under air flow meter or cold start valve for more information
  22. mine is definately more lower at the front than the rear must. I'm planning to sort everything out in december before the MOT, thanks for the input guys

  24. I have installed my koni coilovers since may i used completely new mounts and all components were renewed to late corrado spec and i also got the geometry laser alligned by elite. The problem since is the car seems to want to go all over the place, although it handles beautifully and grips really well it seems that the steering wants to put up a fight when accelerating or braking. Also when braking i can feel as if something is rubbing slightly with the body of the car, its hard to explain but its like when you know the feel of braking normally and when there is a slight increase of vibration you can notice it. Anyone got any suggestions? shall i transfer back to the original mounts?
