fitting the schrick, milltek and getting body work sorted. :afro: lots of long drives in the C :thumbleft: climbing Half Dome mountain :gag: New (trust worthy) girlfriend :notworthy: Audi S3 :norty: selling corrado for good price at xmas time :pale:

climate controll rocks. i have it in the S3 and its so nice not having to carefully turn the corrado dials incase they break!
-
if the rims are 7.5" wide the 205/40/17 will fit but they will look a bit stretched. i would go for 215/35/17 if they are 7.5" wide or more. the biggest problem though is the offset. that is what is causing them to hit the suspension and the calipers! Must have been a really high offset if you have used 6mm spacers and their still hitting!!?? Might be best to get a refund on them and get some with the correct offset!!
-
also what width are the wheels? 7", 7.5" ?? and what size tyres do you have? for 17" you should have 205/40/17 or 215/35/17 any thing different to that and you may have problems catching the suspension and / or the arches
-
the offset is sometimes stamped on the inside of the rim your looking for something that says ET35 or ETxx (xx being any 2 numbers) thats the offset Sounds like the offset is wrong as 17" wheels should fit with no problems
-
if you had got the corract offset then you wouldnthave a problem with 17" wheels. what offset did you get?
-

thanks for the comments guys. i'll probably keep it pretty standard to be honest.. for a while at least until i get used to driving it properly and find out what it can really do. then maybe just lower it a little and fit some of those lovely 18" rs4 style alloys, re-chip or some sort and thats probably it. its so sorted as standard that i dont really need to do anything to it oh im getting rid of those horrid alu mirrors!! some colour coded blue ones coming my way soon!
-
cheers im not getting those wheels afterall. my tyres are still pretty fresh! so i'll come over as presiously planned.. has it got the obd2 port then? dont know where it is hidden yet ha.. believe it or not the is 1 annoying squeek!!!!!! i'll find the little begger!

picked up the new car today. had a 5 hr drive back from newton abbot to get used to it. its really rather good. lovely ride comfort and its not too slow either... just different to the corrado.. thats all i'll say.. i managed to take it on some of my well known favorite roads on the way back.....and despite what others have suggested..i still had a grin on my face at the end of the stretch of road  more pics at the weekend. | | |
