Morning all, Need a bit of help trying to sort out my power steering pump on my baby valver. Its a 1989 "G" plate, which means it has the horrible pulley setup with the slipper / idler pulley on the water pump. I believe this means I also run a different type of PAS pump to later engines which have the new setup. I dont realy want to go down the route of fitting new pulleys and a different water pump etc if I can help it - but I just need a hand getting a PAS pump that isnt knackered and making a horrible grinding / rattling noise all the time. I seem to be having a lot of difficulty sourcing one second hand that fits my belt setup and getting very confused as to what I can and cant use to just bolt on in place of my current one... I have no problems changing the pulleys and belts if needed - but would prefer to avoid if possible... Are there pumps on any other cars that are the same? Like MK2 golfs? that might be easier to source? Any idea what length shaft my one is? So I can check against some other corrado ones that are around the forum? Cheers in advance!

Should have added the Azevs are a mates, they are 16x8 all round 4x100.

Just found the inner sunroof panel aswell - has had the cover taken off it though so will need covering :) £10

Still need alternator and power steering pump... its the one with the short shaft for the horrible early belt and pulley setups.

Headlights are early chaps, both sets i think. Do you know what the differences are? Ill check them out tomorow and make sure :)

The part number is: 536 721 555 D - This was incorrectly ordered for me as I needed the other one. Basically from my research there appears to be 2 types of cable for my 16v (but probably fit other 4cylinder models). One is before 1995, and the other is after 1995. The early one has a "hook" at the clutch pedal end, the other does not. That is the best way I can describe it. This one, does not have the Hook! £30 from dealers including VAT. Its brand new, not even opened the packaging. To a fellow corrado owner whos desperately limping to keep their baby on the road - £20 including postage! I can send photo's etc and answer any questions as I dont want you to order this incorrectly :) Cheers, Dave

Ok what is it? 16v, g60 vr6? What did the plugs look like - dry and white or soaking wet? Have you checked all the obvious things first like burst vacuum hoses? Intake system?

1.8 16v Throttle Cable - 1989. Anyone? Please! :lol:

Anyone know anywhere I can get a throttle cable for my 16v from that isnt the dealers? They want £66 + VAT for one! I cant believe GSF / ECP etc cant do them, dealer only - and a google search throws up nothing, even eBay! Any ideas!? My cars currently beached on the driveway atm!
