Sounds like an early modle due to your stalk setup. Another way of telling are your wheel arches. Late Corrados have a bigger bulge than early.

Swear I saw a corrado on Ebay being broken but it could be Blackburry.

Yeh, that'll cause a few issues :bonk: Give your throttle cable a check as well whilst your there. Had a similar issue with power & it ended up being a buggered cable. Gain a few horses the day I got that changed I can tell you :thumbleft:

So moving on to the other Jobs; 7. Roccer cover gasket split & needing replacing 8. Coolant Flange cracked & needing replacing Have done these jobs before & enjoyed it so for the expense of some new Manifold gaskets, roccer cover Gasket & a coolant flange I thought what the hell. seemed a no brainer, too good & solid to be scrapped. This is the problem now, insurance company's aren't interested in older car esp when you start adding the cost of Towing & hire cars. I'd be seriously upset if it happened to one of my other Corrados. Hope you managed to sort yours out Taylor?

After inspection here is the list of things that need doing. 1. Uprate to VR6 Top Mounts 2. Replace both Wish Bones 3. Replace ball Joints 4. Replace ARB Link Rods 5. Replace Tie rod ends 6. Replace front suspension as a precautionary measure 7. Roccer cover gasket split & needing replacing 8. Coolant Flange cracked & needing replacing 9. 4x new tyres requires 10. Wing Mirror needs replacing 11. Thought it was about time I put an update up about OldTax’s cat D Write-off. Following on from the thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=85355 I’ll try not to be longwinded with the details. I purchased Oldtax’s Corrado (Moo) as it seemed a shame to let another Corrado go to the scrap yard esp with the minimum damage it had received. For all those having problems viewing theses picture at work it's because they are the closest thing to PORN. Be warned unexpected sounds will come out of you when viewing these pictures!!!

They generally go for around £300-£500 depending on condition. There is one on flee bay for £450 that's seems in good condition. Always a bit of a lottery though as you never really know what your gonna get. The more service history the better.

Just a quick update on this thread. The Corrado was given a cat D in the end & I have bought it of Oldtax with the intention of replacing damaged part & getting the old girl back on the rd. I will do a build thread so you can all see what I find but I wont be keeping this one, apparently 3 Corrados is too many
