The shell is salvageble, but I have got to the point I don't want to spend any more money on it. As discussed earlier in the thread; the n/s sill is rusty in two places, the shell door shut on the o/s is starting to rust, the windscreen is rusty on the top and the battery tray is rotten. Paint work is pretty damn good to be fair and on first look the car is very very nice, it's only when I've dug deeper I have found the above. Anyway, if you want the complete shell I need to know asap as I will be stripping the shell (minus the doors) and weighing it in this weekend. PM me if you are seriously interested. The shell has to be gone by earlty next week at the very latest. The Mocal kit is provisionally sold, but I am awaiting payment. I work on the terms of first to pay buys it though.. I will split the Beru HT leads from the rest of the ignition stuff. And the SNS chip is for a Stage 5 charger and 68mm pulley, the rest of the mods were fitted afterwards. i would recommend a 68mm pulley to go with your stage 4 charger at the least. -
Sorry man, I have one which only has one clip left and it's pap! I'm after one with more clips.
-
I'm after a late (3 slat) front grill. With a silver/chrome VW badge. One which comes with a VR6 chrome badge is a bonus. Must have the majority of the clips still intact, preferabley all clips intact.

PM'd.. It has the wipers but I'm not sure if my new Corrado has.. I'll know by the weekend if I'm selling these. Throttle body is provisionally sold at £50, give me 24 hours to find out. This was the case.. I've been going around getting quotes for the windscreen/sill repair and a full respray and as the bodyshops had a look around they kept finding more.. It got to the point the rust repair's were getting into four figures and that was before the respray costs.. Spending 3k plus on a body shell when there are plenty out there which are fine is just stupid; I've not owned the car long enough to grow attached to it, so head came before heart. I will do a deal yes. PM'd -

Thanks a lot Baz.. means a lot coming from you.. Like I've said it wasn't an easy choice but it's just not viable to save such a rusty shell. Sad Times :( Anyway.. Roll up, Roll up.. Everything is up for grabs. -
I have a full black powdercoated rear axel, with VAG bushes, VAG discs and pads, VAG brake shields, bearings, handbrake cables, brake flexi hoses and a fresh brake compensation valve. I'll also include any copper pipes which were done at the same time. Since the refurb its covered 6,000 miles max. All nice and fresh just needs a quick clean... So it'd be literally the case of you swapping your axel for this with no messing about. £250. Located in Sheffield, I can post at cost. Edit. Just realised this is for a G60 so it's 4x100. Rich.

£60 matey. I'll aim for delivery on Tuesday if you pay for it this weekend. I've had much better 20 year old cars with no rust like this one has. Trust me when I say the shells a lost cause. Why pump money and time into a shell when when there are plenty of better ones out there? I've got a replacement Corrado lined up which is cosmetically immaculate, it needs mechanical work which is what I can do.. Thank you! Finally a voice of reason. -

Was an option, but yes I wont make as much and the likely hood of selling it quickly is low; I need money for my replacement, and fast.. Plus I want the suspension/exhaust/some other bits for the replacement... Add to this the fact that there are some very nice examples of G60's for sale at the moment which are struggling to sell, which are lower priced than what I'd advertise mine for.. For what I want for mine as a whole I'll never get it with the current market. Mechanically this car is excellent; cosmetically and structurally it needs work. Head over heart this time boys. -

I think I'll hold out for £50 for the time being matey, that's only £25 per headlight which is very competitive. I'll be in touch next week though :) Boys!!! The guilt.. The guilt!! I feel shamed... The truth of the matter is that the car needs more work than I can do/afford. The windscreen area is rotten, the battery tray is rotten and affecting the inner wing, the n/s sill has two rust holes along it's entire length, the o/s floor plan is rusting at the jacking point, the o/s drivers door shut on the body is rusting as is the upper sill. Not to mention the car needs a blow over for me to be really happy with it. It's just not financially viable. This was not an easy decision... Don't hate me for it.. -

Hey, The clocks will be sold as a whole, sorry. The oil cooler is immaculate. 2,000 miles old so nice and fresh, when I checked a few weeks ago the cooler itself was minty fresh with no marks to the fins. -

I know man, This was my dilemma. But with rust creeping through in places it shouldn't be I just don't have the funds available to fix it... Financially it's the best option. I'm still awaiting my settlement from when my last car was stolen in March and I'm wanting to move in with the misses.. I just need some cash. Don't hate me for it :( -
Right, the car is long gone. Apologies to those awaiting answers on parts but with other commitments (work/friends/family/girlfriend/constant VR6 maintenance :bonk: ) I've just not had time to organise my mound of parts. I will put up individual parts up for sale in their retrospective adverts as and when I pull my finger out and organise through my parts boxes. I have the next few weeks dedicated to do this as I really need some space... Keep you eyes open. MODS: Can you please lock this thread or whatever you guys normally do to clean the place up? Thanks :thumbleft: For the parts remaining please see: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?68461-Clearout-Mainly-G60-VR6-Loads!-Picture-heavy

I have a freshly polybushed subframe/wishbones which came with my car when I bought it. I've stripped it down to powdercoat the subframe/wishbones before I fit it to the car. But i can't remove these from the wishbone (Top of the photo): Are these polybushes one piece? Does anyone know what they look like before fitting so i have a further understanding of how to remove them? Or do you think once they are in, I'm not getting them out without damaging them? Help please as I plan on taking these to the coaters on Monday.

Hello Everybody! I want to get the best out of my current G60 set up so i'm thinking either: A Rolling Road set up to make sure my CO2, timing etc are set up the best they can be. or A custom Rolling Road session with a remap to suit my car. Can any one recommend me a company to do either and tell me what you got done? My current car sepcs are seen in my sig thanks!!!

2 sets please. Maybe 4 sets dependant on price. Thanks bro x -
I know you shouldn't use gaffer tape! Literally it's a big thick sheet of plastic which has been taped on, it's not even the original membrane. 100% Bodge job here. I am presuming the membranes are obsolete now?
-
Well, the door membrane or condom (what I like to call it) is just a plastic sheet stuck on with gaffer tape (thanks previous owners!) But it does look solid enough. Anyone know if you can still by the membrane anywhere?
