Late Headlight Switch....New Batch Delivered. Fit All Corrado's.
Pat_McCrotch replied to 8vMatt's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Hi Matt, Have you ever enquired about the Jetta Speedo screw blanks? :) I could do with some of these for the future and everyone always wants them! -
You think £850 for wheels is bad, how about £80 for a badge!

Wow! I've got a few MK2 GTi badges band new in my loft. Wonder what they would fetch, lol! :) -
If it's any help its usually quite a solid piece of metal so shouldn't be too hard to find a good one second hand. It's shows as green on Classic Parts too, but i've heard some items are back ordered even when green as they are 'in production'.

Use a small flatblade screwdriver (with a bit of cloth towell wrapped around) to pop out the blanking switch next to the headlight switch. Pop out headlight switch from behind and it's plug and play :) -
Seems the unmolested and mint examples are selling for really strong money at the moment (check some of the sold cars on Pistonheads)

Did you tick the "Ice Cream Seller" option when you specced the 500 Jim? :D ;) -

I also have a portable BBQ, Gas & chairs if necessary. But like to be able to clean up the BBQ to some extent before it goes back in the car :D -

If Vince has no objections I have one of these Gazebo's (the dome one) which we can put outside for the BBQ, general mingling and selling of bits? Seem to remember it being freezing a couple of years back. I too have LOADS of parts I need to get rid of. So would be good to advertise it as a parts swap/bring and buy. -

He won't get that, but you can't blame him for trying to make profit from a money-pit. He does have something thats rare too. An unscratched front VR6 badge. I would expect him to get £40 at a very maximum though. -
Never realized we had TC! Cool!
-
I would say save it. £300 for an engine plus £80 for gaskets. What doesn't have a monetry value though is the satisfaction when you've fixed it. That's whats the best thing about old cars.
-
Interesting :) I wonder if it would even fit, I think the S2000 is longitudinal fitment. Facelift ones go for about £2-3k now, it's seriously tempting to get another. Although I would love a DC5 Integra. £10k for a 10 year old car is a joke though.

It would probably be cheaper to buy a 2.2 Prelude and nick the engine from that :) Thing is although the oil consumption is excessive (1000 miles a to a litre of oil on road) the poke is all still there...must be if it was neck and neck with RX8's down the straights! These Honda engines are strong old beasts :) I think I am starting to notice a bit of piston slap from cold though. As it owes me so little i'm tempted to do an engine rebuild on it at some point in the future so I can learn how to do it. It's a big old engine bay so would be fairly nice to take an engine out of. But they are known for using allot of oil anyway after 100,000 miles.

I picked out a few bits that people interchange :) The bits that break on the C sunroof are on this frame and obviously brand new :) This part number contains everything except the glass/metal part. ---------- Post added at 12:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:47 PM ---------- The early 24v sumps weren't variable service and didn't have an oil level sensor holes. All you need is sealant. I think Kev will confirm but I also believe it is shallower so less chance of grounding on lowered cars??? ---------- Post added at 12:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:49 PM ---------- It's the dust moulding at the bottom of the door, now obsolete. Still want? ---------- Post added at 12:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:50 PM ---------- It's the super rare (though more popular on Vr6 Golf) BBS 5 stud. Let me know if you still want em :) I've put you down for am arm

Get some pics up! :D

Definitely 280's :) Couple of pictures of the Accord at Snetterton on Monday. Used over 3 litres of oil over the whole day (piston rings worn, to be fair it was at 6000-8000rpm all day) but pulled strong and was overtaking RX8's and giving them a hard time out of the corners because of the LSD. No issues whatsoever throughout the day, don't think you could get a better track car for £1000. Although it looked totally dated it was in it's element ;)
