  1. Finally, after an 11 hour, 500 mile round trip from York to Cardiff and back, I’m now proud to announce that I am a happy Corrado owner :D It’s a 1994, M plate, 2.0 8v (soon to have my 2.9VR6, 6 speed, 4WD in it of course), in Burgundy Pearl Metallic (C3U or ‘Aubergine’ if you like). Totally standard, except for a glass Passat sunroof panel (nice touch) and a Tracker. It’s a minter, can’t wait for the weekend so I can give it a damn good valet and polish. Oh, and lower it, and tint the rear lights, de-badge the grill, fit my stereo, etc, etc (here we go again…..) Pics coming when it’s daylight. EDIT, Burgundy, not Blackberry....
  2. Yep, I've got a 3.94 final drive and a 6 speed kit. makes the engine much more lively and the car is a hell of a lot faster as a result. downside is that 1st gear can be a bit short, and it'll spin in 2nd too with cr4p tyres on. But I always planned to go 4WD anyway so that's not a problem. Stock VR gearing is horrible, I love my 3.94. I don't know of another normally aspirated VR6 in the country that'll run into the 13's on the 1/4 mile.
  3. Try a VR6 with a Schrick manifold, cams and a lightened flywheel and/or crank pulley. Those ones like to rev.
  4. Power is overrated. I have trouble putting dowm 207BHP with my VR powered mk2 Golf, even with a torque biasing diff it still spins both front wheels up in 2nd and chirps in 3rd. Do't even contemplate running over 300BHP with 2WD.
  5. Have a look on http://www.vwvortex.com the car belongs to a guy on the going by the username of burgundyvr6

    Arch rolling

I was going to do it myself, I don't trust bodyshops or garages to do anything.

    Arch rolling

Has anyone managed to do it without damaging the paint?

    Avon ZZ1

Try Toyo T1S Proxes, good tyres for the price.
  9. that's that one off the list then! what about K4Z Bramble metallic?
  10. I had a look on http://vangeenen.demon.nl/corrado-vr6/vw-corrado-colors.html I think it might even be K4U Icegrey violet pearl effect. sweet.
  11. Just checked out your pic, maybe this one isn't voilet after all! still both a nice colour though. Well, I might track the Corrado, not sure yet. I might just build another track version later on. Amy, if you really want 4WD, I have a few syncro parts you may be interested in.
  12. yes, it'll be getting a 207BHP VR6, with 268 cams, turn2 pulley, schrick manifold, 6 speed motorsport gearbox, peloquin diff, oh, and 4WD :) no, really, I already have all of that kit in amk2 golf ready to swap over.
  13. twilight violet??? that's a new one on me. is it rare? regardless, I love it! I think I may have found the corrado for me.
  14. Found a '95 2.0 8v. the owner said it was burgundy. He's sent me a few pics but I think it looks more like dusty mauve, which I've read on here is specifically a '92 colour!?!?? It ain't black berry either. I was expecting it to be dark burgundy pearl or "aubergine" as on a golf G60 edition one, but it looks nothing like it. Any idea what it could be? I've asked the guy for the paint code. TIA
  15. I've got an 815is, nice bit of kit.
  16. yay, tell the world how to steal a VW......dead clever.....
  17. Badges are s*** anyway....so is there actually nay point at all in paying the extra money for a storm? I'd rather have Leather Recaros than a few badges....
  18. PhatVR6

    RECARO??

aha, my mate just happens to have a roll of Edition One cloth if that's any use to you?
  19. What's the difference between "classic green" and "dragon green" then?
