Looking for a BBM Twin Screw Lysholm G60 Supercharger Kit!
owen g60 replied to Aneliya Prodanova's topic in Suppliers Forum
Only real options are BBM themselves, or maybe gwerks is they can get it shipped over -
I'll have a look in my box of bits when I get home. Sure I had a spare set
-
I like what you've done there... Hate to be fussy but I'm also keeping the ash tray and lighter... Yes I'm a dirty smoker
-
I've looked at them. I want to keep the tray at the bottom of the centre console tho.. Hence choosing Audi 80 ones and putting them in place of the stereo which has given up. The pressure sender is my only issue... Although I may change it to be a boost gauge instead
-
I want to keep the high and low switches as a safety precaution. I was thinking of using the original sender from the Audi 80
-
Ah I follow... I was considering using the sender from the Audi 80 and using a t piece to put it along side either the high or low pressure switch.

Hi guys, I want to fit a set of VDO guages from an AUDI 80 into the dash of my G60. The Oil temp and volts are easy enough to do... I was wondering if any one had managed to do the oil pressure. I am struggling to get my head round this as there is a low pressure and high pressure switch... Is there an oil pressure sender already on the g60?? if not how would i go about adding one to it??

Cotton filters allow tiny particles through which will cause premature wear on the G charger. A stock air box with OEM paper filter is best for stopping this... I do believe there is a thread on this somewhere

Car now gone see link in 1st post for new thread

Sad face :( would love for mine to have those specs -
double sided tape or double sided sticky foam should hold it
-
I am presently going to have it running as a standard setup would. I am replacing the original hoses with 63mm ones keeping the oil breather but rerouting the isv to the intake path once I've installed a TD5 intercooler
-
Just use some silicone pipe. 22mm internal diameter I believe. Maybe 25mm
-
this is probably quite a simple question. what size is the outer diameter on the part of the throttle body that returns unused boost back to the charger?? I need it for some pipework that im going to get fabricated
-
Have had an adaptor made to aid my pursuit for a complete refit of all the charger pipework. It is going on the boost return side. Just waiting on the isv re-route and oil breather adaptors to be made aswell. Then should be able to fit a TD5 intercooler and full metal pipework set :)
-
these are the correct fittment. the design is exactly the same as the brenner one and the ones that come from germany (ive forgotten the company) the extra pipework is to bridge the space left from there the silencer box was.
-
yes from just looking at it you wouldnt know any different
-
just looked at my air box... it has been drilled and had the snorkel removed is this an issue for you. Has K&N panel filter in it
-
I repaired a header tank not too long ago. I took the tank off and sealed all the pipe outlets. Then filled it with boiling water to find the crack. Empty the water out. Heat up a scalpel till its red hot and run it down the crack... Try to push it all the way through if the crack is wide enough, then pull the knife out and it should bond to itself. If that fails there should be some kind of plastic cement that you can apply to it to bond the two surfaces together

I may have this for you in the next week or so if my brackets for my new intake are made soon. Would a straight swap be on the cards??

Old and new heater matrix. Turns out GSF do oem ones :) Hole that water exited from
-
Im sure I saw it on their site... May have been euro car parts instead
-
As much as i dont like getting bits from then GSF do them and they are actually reasonable quality at the moment
-
just checked mine... they are solid, so it does seem that something isnt right there for you
-
Big disaster last night... stopped at some lights, my coolant light started flashing and my temperature spiked big time... before i could kill the engine the cabin was filled with steam and my feet with boiling water. Heater matrix is goosed... turns out the fan had died on the same journey causing the high temperature and the weakest point obviously gave out. have bypassed the matrix for now and as the journey to work is short i am running with out a fan until i can collect one tomorrow, ordered the heater matrix too. Hope to get it all fitted tomorrow afternoon.

This shouldnt be too hard to do... would just have to get the wires the correct way round on the switch. if memort serves me right the corrado switch basically acts like a potentiometer setting the load across the heater in the seats, as long as the ones you want to use act in the same way i see no reason why it should not work
