    G60 oil cooler

Im afraid not... im after the one that sits below it with the extra radiator
  2. I dont know too much on the cam swap... but have seen it done.. I know a guy who is running his 9a on 2 KR exhaust cams and bike carbs. I do believe he had to redo the timing and remap to suit, but it was rollered at 197 BHP.... the next step is Mega squirt management and ditching the distributor in favour of a vacuum controlled system
  3. Easiest way to tell if it is the motor or mechanism that has died in your sunroof is to take the interior light out and remove the trim that it sits in( should be 2 screws) Check if the motor has an Allen key slot on the back. If it does try to turn it both ways and see if it moves the sunroof. If it doesn't have an Allen key slot unscrew the motor and reconnect the loom an switch to it. This will tell you if the motor operates. Now grip the part of the motor that turns and try to operate it. Don't apply too much pressure against the motor as you may burn it out completely. If it works with a little resistance against it chances are the sunroof itself has seized. There is a guide somewhere on how to service it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. when you do the cams make sure they are both KR exhaust cams.... dont ask me why but the results are even better that a standard pair

  12. Hi guys. Im after a new cam and am looking at a 268 degree schrick one at present. I want to know how far i can go in terms of degree wise... i have seen a 298 one and a friend has one on his MK2 GTi. although his idle is very lumpy due to this. What would be the best for me to go for whilst keeping the idle relatively smooth and giving me the biggest gains. As a side note i am running a Jabba stage 5 charger with gold 180 outlet and TD5 front mount intercooler and 68mm pulley. My ECU has a SNS 5.5 antilag chip to deal with the current state of the engine. Finally would i need to remap to cope with the new cams? Also any other cam recommendations would be greatly appreciated
  13. Undo your hub nut... Should be 30mm - replace this after removing as they're single use. Undo the 3 13mm bolts on the bottom of the lower ball joint You should now be able to separate the driveshaft from the cv joint. Remove the 2 clamps from the cvboot and it should now slide off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. TD5 intercooler. will fit infront of the radiator without any troubles. with a sprinter one you will have to cut out your towing eye
  15. I think they must all be making their way down south as i know of at least 15 within a 3 mile radius of my flat. My mate spotted another 2 new ones just down the road today. Probably migrating south for the slightly warmer weather :D
  16. do share the wealth... i broke mine changing my throttle body
  17. Take your air box out and check the wires under there. Seems to be the cause to me as your air box will move under acceleration and has probably rubbed the wires and makes a short every time you accelerate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. im a little miffed about these being missing... thought my seats were different to my mates rado only when looking at the ones in the 16V that someone just got given did i realize what i actually had... i can see this being a long search to find what im after
  19. Just want to check i have got this right the plastic side trims that hold the switches on recaro seats Part numbers:535881317 left 535881318 right both show as 35 euro on classic parts and vw heritage sites... is this correct as http://www.online-teile.com/vw/advanced_search_result.php?XTCsid=87555479b2eaf7c75fb13a0f54e0f69b&keywords=535881318&x=14&y=7 lists them at over 300 euro. also just to check the part numbers for the switches as they dont appear on ETKA
  20. im missing the panel and switches... gonna take some searching to get them
  21. WOW... Its nice when lady luck gives you a gift like that!!!!!!! hope you find the inspiration to take this car forward... personally i would go down the OEM route with this as they are few and far between to find an unmolested one these days. On a side note, looking at your seats i have realized what i am missing... the side panels with switches are missing from my recaros :(

  23. New pressed metal plates arrived today. My current plates didnt have any markings on them BSA etc. May aswell start sorting any things that may cause issues come MOT time instead of bitching about the new rules
  24. Part of my job involves working with ANPR cameras, an ANPR camera can read plates as small as the ones seen commonly on motor bikes at a speed of 80 MPH. The reasoning behind having a set size is so they can be easily read at a distance of 30 meters. Nothing to do with ANPR, i dont know where that arguement came from but it is false... Otherwise how would ANPR work with Arabic and Japanese/Chinese fonts?? and yes they do work with them as i have install such systems in these types of places. The reason why the police say they are hard to read is because the ANPR system that is used in their vehicles is a very simplistic one and it does struggle with outsized plates. I saw this demonstrated on TV last night when the ANPR couldnt read the plate correctly but the guy sat in the driver seat could...
  25. I may have a set of wings once I get another set sprayed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
