1. I for sure would also like to buy one of those well made radiator necks, if you chose to make up some for sale. Great work anyway ;) Just an idea: how about making up a small stop for the hose as per original? Cheers, Redfox.
2. Hi all, wanting to erase the nasty extra long oilfilter (original VW) on my Corrado G60 1991, to say a Golf Mk. II oilfilter, to get rid of the hex-shaped elongation in the oilfilter. Will the Mk. II filter fit? and is it exactly the same inside (reliefvalve, oilways dimensioning etc) ? This will make it easier to take off/spin on. Again I will mention that I only ever use original VW oilfilters. Cheers, Redfox.
3. Well, I never experienced anything on my former Mk. II Golf, but on the Corrado it's scraping and clonking. I will hopefully soon put on new arms, bushes etc, so we'll see. And I have nothing to say but praise of the anti roling itself. Just could be bent a little better to avoid scraping, It can certainly not pass inspection in Denmark. So, I am just thinking if there's anything that I can do to avoid that proble, or is it worn track arms/bushes? Cheers, Redfox.
4. Hi Alex, I've sent you a pm for way of payment. I await a reply so I can pay asap. Cheers, Redfox.
5. Oldthread, but jsut wanted to update for clarity. I just mounted mine on my Corrado, took it from my former Mk II Golf, and it fits perfect. Yes, a pain to drill the rear holes, but not that big pain. Fits nicely. Mark it up, remove old bolts and brake sensor wires: Drill and rustproof and paint (I use a small Festool drilling machine): Put on the Eibach bar, with bolts loosened and insert bolts and nuts to tighten. I did them upside down, that is nuts up, and boltheads down - easy job: Moreover i personally prefer the now obsolete Eibach front strut tower bar over all other models, as it is solidly made, have big three point rings to attatch in each side, and easy to unbolt in each end without having to remove the fasteners on the strut towers, and finally it's flat and wide and each end is the same, not being small and round - which all in all adds to a much better stiffening job that other models. Look at Wiechers (also comes in carbon or carbon clad), which only have two bolts each end and is thin and round in each end - less stiffening. Nuff' said ;) Hope it helps. Cheers, Redfox.
6. My front Eibach arb is also scraping my track arms. Quite bad made for a well reputed company like Eibach, unless I have installed it correctly. Did not happen on my former Mk II Golf. My letters read upside down. is it supposed to be like that? Cheers, Redfox.
7. I just bought the Powerflex ones for the front arb, and it's called Pff-85-209 and they don't fit the Eibach front arb. Instead use this model: PFF-85 -210 which is made specifically for use with the Eibach front anti roll bar. The dealer couldn't see them in his list, but found them on the internet. Cheers, Redfox.

Ah, finally got a loudspeaker cover for the left door, two parcel shelf rubbers and a right side early foglamp! So corrected those three errors - that is three less to go ;) At last I can enjoy the interrior without being annoyed of the missing loudspeakercover, since it now sits nicely where it's supposed to be. Ran into a problem, as the Powerflex bushes I bought to press into the eyebolts for the front arb, are too small. They support 18mm arb and not the 22mm I bought from Eibach ;( I asked Powerflex, but they just say they don't do those in 22mm... Well, what is the chance of people buying Powerflex bushes also getting bigger arb's? 95 % !! So of course they should make some, but they don't. Hmm, I have serious dificulties in drilling the polyurethane, since it simply creeps away from the drill. Any ideas? Cheers, Redfox.
9. Mglp! It's truly amazing that you can replicate all those nice parts. Wish you would go into buisness with some more ;), although I know that it's very time consuming. Great job (again). Cheers, Redfox.
10. Took mine out of the garage to service my motorcycle. Of course it began to rain... ggrrrrr.... ;( Fortunately it also gave me a chance to grab my new Momo steering wheel :) So this weekend is Corrado-washing-time. Not a bad way to spend some time ;) Now, it's time for a nice jazz album on the tape recorder ;) Cheers, Redfox.

Small update, I am not a particular fan of plastic steering wheels, and I got myself a Momo Competetion Airleather one to replace the Corrado one. A leather Corrado steering wheel is hard to come by around these waters, and I really like the Momo one. Had to get a new hub from Sparco to adapt for the bigger axle on the Corrado, compared to my ex. Mk. II Golf. So off it goes: Here's a few bit and bobs for the Momo: New Sparco steering wheel adapter on, tightened 50 Nm: And finally the new Momo Competetion Airleather, which goes together with the Momo Race Airleather gearknob: I am pleased to report, that the Momo feels like it should: fat, small, and super nice to grip when driving fast ;) Had to change the horn button from yellow to black, as the yellow one looked out of place in a black and red car. Black suits it better ;) Cheers, Redfox.
13. Thanks. Now I need to find out why the Eibach arb is hitting the track arms when I reverse??? Is it meant to be mountet upside down on a Corrado (g60-1991) compared to a Mk. II Golf? Or the same as the Golf, and which way? Eyebolts above or below track arms? I put them in already, and never had them rubbing on my lowered Golf, but the make some strange noise when reversing in the Corrado. I read through old posts and general googleing, but I simply cannot find anything clear, as many people write different thing. Help greatly appreciated ;) Cheers, Redfox.
14. Jobs done. Fits nicely and surely stiffens up the package. Cheers, Redfox.
15. Close to me there is a dealership wh had a demo day, and there's one guy who all the time entertained the crowd by wheeling forth and back on this supercharged model ;) Cheers, Redfox.
16. It may not be built in Wolfburg, but how much of the Corrado were actually built at Karmanns factory? The Whole car or just the bodyshells? Looking through ETKA, it appears that VW actually made a Wolfsburg Edition sidebadge for it. Replaces the sideblinkers. Cheers, Redfox.
17. Like to read old threads so ;) Momo Race Airleather for me. Bought it because the original was ackward to hold and shift fast with (for me at least), and did not feel solid, which made the gearshift feel more wobly.. Used a Sparco polished ball in my former Mk. II and that worked great too. Bloddy cold to grab on a cold evening, but improved on the matter (standard). Cheers, Redfox.
18. Some cars was forgotten about, until someone made a revamped version like the fiat 500 or the mini. That made prices go shyhigh on the original ones. (Tip for a Corrado speculator) ;) Redfox.
19. Sorry no G60, but 16v's. Take a look at these: Good Corrado racing! Cheers, Redfox. ---------- Post added at 02:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:11 PM ---------- And this one: Cheers, Redfox. ---------- Post added at 02:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:40 PM ---------- One more, and note how the Ferrari makes more noise thn it actually drives, and then compare it to the Corrado ;) Redfox
20. I too like the special brick red version. Really make the car stand out. Cheers, Redfox.
21. I have just read some mags from the 1988 to 2000 and up to and including 1990 VW admitted that G60's did not have 160 horses, rather much lower. Some mags spoke of 145 and seriously slow acceleration that the claimed one. It was stated from VW in Sweden, that from 1991 and including that year, the G60 engined ones would be a lot better, that is over 160 horses. MagsI've read noted better that 1 second acceleration compared to earlier ones. Better NM too. It also may be the reason why so many lacks that particular cover. Very interesting, thanks for letting us know. Cheers, Redfox. ps: so much more a reason to install a big Golf ic.
22. I think Tiff were also favourable og the G60 vs. toyota and RX7. Cheers, Redfox.
23. Not knowing this really, I think the G60 is sometimes used in Germany for "bergrennen" or maoutain race on asphalt. Not sure though. The VR6 is surely the more noseheavy of them, and that should give the G60 an edge. Not in quatermile or alike, but on a twisty track. The G60 delivers a NM almost the same but lower that the VR6. I think the G60 with a G75-ladder is a weapon to behold. Just my 2-pence. Cheers, Redfox.
24. Hi all, Being new to Corrado's I don't really remember what the press all over said about the Corrado, when it came out, adn as the years passed by. But because of that, I just bought a bunch of mags from Sweden, and just finished reading them. Mglp  They are all negative. Well, they like the outside shape, and generally say it drives quite sporty, but the engine is crap (all), the suspension is soft and lift the inner rear wheel too much, the equipment is crap, the space in side is crap, the milage is crap, the bhp is not at all up to the promised level, and anything japanese seems to be a lot more sportier, little or no equipment, rear wing is uselss, price is all too high, teh instrumentation with no exception is critized for being a Passat one, the gearshift is way too long and slow and so on. What did the other mags say? (non Swedish)??? And how do you think it stands today? Cheers, Redfox.
