  1. I've got the golf one... and tbh it's not too bad! there's some useful info in there about smoothing panels/removing badges and various other clever tips. Ideal if you would like to be more hands on with your car but wouldn't have a clue where to start 8)
  2. Heheheh... I'm sure there's something in the rules about abusing members :? Looking better Nick (not that it didn't look great in the first place) side shots would help for the comparison though 8)

    wheels?

    Moving to suppliers
  4. Yeah yours will be late mate... not sure you'd want to use early lenses on late lights even if they do fit as they sit much further back than the late ones and look odd with the late grill :?
  5. Lens covers are larger on the late ones (this includes the black plastic surrounds) I think the backs are different too but know that you can use the late lens and surround on them... HTH
  6. not quite Dave ;) I'm getting be fsbr or sCW depending if I go left or right

    Mileage

This may be of use AA Motoring costs

    Mileage

I've always worked on the basic princilble that 10% is generally exceptable for over calculating business milage  I'm fairly sure that the AA worked out (some years ago) that the average running cost for a vehicle was 42p per mile - it might be worth looking up their website to see if they have a newer calculation of this as your employer may consider raising the cost if it's a proven statistic...
  9. Is it a re-cut key? When it sticks it may be worth pulling it out very slightly to see if that helps as it may not be lining up with the mech quite right...
  10. That looks mint... nice to see a clean valver! Those handles look great too 8)
  11. You want to do an engine swap matey... I hear the 2.9 12V is a good motor ;)
  12. I had the same thing with increasing bills, no calls and ever extended 'you'll have it back' dates... went on for over a year in my case and cost over £3.5K... hope you have it back soon :?
  13. Looking nice and clean in there mate... is that my old wheel? I want to see the outside now 8)
  14. Thats a bit mental... whale tail or not I think it looks pretty good - wouldn't do mine like that (and I hate white wheels) but it's cool 8)
  15. watch ebay - they come up fairly often AFAIK
  16. There's this one in the for sale section on polished estorils if that helps...
  17. Just a guess but I'd have thought a good body shop would have this type of thing for you...
  18. Gutted for you... hope they pay out quick and you have luck finding a suitable replacement :?

    Scratched Glass

AFAIK the scratches on the windows are caused by the metal clips that hold the window rubbers to the door... so if you do polish the glass or replace it then it's going to be worth replacing the rubber/clips and making sure they sit 'right'against the glass... I've got a spare window in the garage which will be used to sort mine out eventually so if anyone wants to practice on my scratched glass for me they're more than welcome ;)

    my system?

Having been in C's with the Audioscape set up I can vouch for the performance and would say that it's really the only good way to get HQ sound and sound stage in a C... if money's tight then get the pods and save an extra month for decent components! It's what I'll be doing once everything else is sorted 8)
