Stone chip from hell- new windscreen required for the golf
Phil K replied to HiAsAKite's topic in General Car Chat
Mate - we can go to Crawley scrappy this w/e with the Passat and bring one back... then just find someone to fir it cash in hand! Saves any messing about... -
If it's down to colour and only colour between the too then I'd have the black one - however, like everyone has said let the condition and history make the decision for you 8) Well it is the best colour after all ;)
-
Might be an engine mount - I'm the first to admidt that I'm guessing but I wouldn't rule it out :?
-
Thats due to the differences between the mountings for the late and early grills - AFAIK you have to cut the clips off and cable tie it or dremmel new holes in your slam pannel :?
-
Prices are just low at the moment tbh... it could also be that the owner isn't an enthusiast and just wants a quick sale - milage is high for a '95 car :?
-
putting a candle on the dashboard is an improvement on the original set up  I know what your saying but I still feel that it wouldn't have left a factory with that kind of difference - hence they will always look after market in my eye's. Shame Hella didn't make them late style!
-
I'm down 60 on 17's and although most inclines are scrape inducing I still have whats left of my 90mm splitter at the front  Tip: NEVER colour code them - they crack and look pants
-
Looking very good chap - never been sure about how the angel eyes sit with the later grill though - early/late differences an all that :?
-
Thats very cool but whats up with this one :?

unlucky dude... this is why you should always wrap your car in bubble wrap before you drive it anywhere - thank god it wasn't the rado! (think thats had enough bad luck for the year ;) ) Your insurance company will be the best people to talk to regarding how it will effect your policy - IMO every company is different... If it's not looking good with that route then maybe you could source a good 2nd hand screen from a breakers and just pay for someone to fit it - I have a feeling that the mk2 screen isn't bonded but I'm sure I'll be corrected on that by someone else on here shortly  Got to pop over my folks once I've put the second coat of paint on Maliks walls so may come see you and drink one of your beers ;) -
Looking very nice and clean 8)

More pics of it 8)

The silver rose rim is based on the design 90's AFAIK - they do look sweet 8)
