If i remember correctly the 16v fuel pump makes around 7.5 bar!!! The G60 / VR6 makes 4 bar. There is an early system for the G60 that uses a lifting fuel pump and then a pressure pump outside the tank with a resevoir. They both offer the same 4 bar at end.

Can you guys put all this power on the floor? Don´t you get wheel spinning easily?

I´m with Supercharged, on this one. It seems to me more like deffo engine mounts, most probably the front one... Keep posting! :)

Drive shaft seal??? Gearbox oil leak, where from???
kongo127 replied to -Neil-'s topic in Drivetrain
Well i don´t really know if this is a common problem... I used some gasket paper, i had to cut it with the same correct dimensions as the cover. The gearbox oil will come out, maybe you can take advantage by replacing the oil with some good stuff like Redline MT90! Keep posting! :) -

I´m on my second G60 and the gearbox leaks just like the first one. It´s the same problem. Take a look under the gearbox and you´ll see a cover with the VW logo attached with two bolts. I stopped the leak with gasket paper. They are running fine up to date! :) -
It seems to me that your wishbone bolts are not tight enough. I´d go and check them all...

Yes, it is possible to run your car without the supercharger. All you need it to get a shorter v-belt (don´t know it´s size right now), there are different belt sizes for A/C and non A/C cars. You also need to remove the oil feed hose and block the oil coming from the engine. Re-route your air filter directly to the intercooler. You´ll be impressed by how much power you´ll loose without the supercharger! Keep posting! :)

The Corrado colours is a brilliant idea! My car is booked for a re-spray and i haven´t seen much colours as Corrados in Portugal are very rare. I was thinking to start a thread so that we can upload all available and original colours along with their codes! So this is awesome! You may have my early car pictures in LD7Y ( Graphite Grey Metallic ) :)

Heated water jets was an option i guess. My 1990 G60 had them. My 1992 G60 doesn´t. They turn on along with the de-frost window switch and heated mirrors aswell. :) Door locks? Never heard!
-
Yes, that is normal in all Corrados! So don´t worry. It´s called the after-run system i think... :)
-
Well done mate! I think that you´ve done all the right things... The only thing i guess that can be going wrong might be a blocked hose, or even the water radiator somewere... :?

Your window is playing due to a broken plastic piece that is glued on the window which makes the window slide through a rail... These plastic parts are glued on the window near the door locks. They have a VAG part-number written. Once i went to VW to buy them, but they don´t recognize the code, and told me that it was only sold with the entire window glass! Quoted 1200Eur for it! Please let me know if you get another response over UK...

So what's the cure for a VR when the display constantly shows 99.9? I know there are threads about it, but not sure there's a definitive answer :? I found the cure some time ago... I´m sure there is a thread somewhere. I have posted. I remember that it was all about 2 capacitors bleeded on the MFA Display PCB. Well i got sorted! :)

I wonder why my 1992 G60 has 3 connectors and 5 wires! :? I need to get the communication cable to find out what are they for...

Thanks for all the opinions guys! :) Being honest, i´´m not happy with this car... Or maybe i´m just not used to it? The Flash Red isn´t my style for sure. Firstly when i saw a red Corrado for the first time i loved it. But now that i own one... I don´t. There are not many Corrados in Portugal. So i don´t have a good chance to go for another one... The car really needs a respray! I was wondering if a colour change job will go ok? I wouldn´t like to see red spots coming over the years behind the new colour... ( brilliant black metallic or graphite grey ). Will this happen? I also don´t like the interiors in red, not even the lack of armrest it the rear, they make it seem like a tuned car and that´s not my idea. This car is rare, it´s a JET ( i wonder why they call this, it´s slower, maybe because of it´s shorter gearbox? ). I assume it´s considered a crime doing this? You must be thinking why i bought this car... LOL Well i can tell you! A friend of mine has imported it from Germany in tip top shape! He got married and needed a family car ( as he said ). I bought it very very cheap from him! :) What do you think? I´m open to any project! :)

There are some places where we can save up some pences... But the G-Charger is not one of them! Seriously, take it to Darren, let him do his magic! It worth!

Do you have any electrical skills? i would try to hotwire the spoiler motor to see if it moves ok and watch for current comsumption. If the fuse is blowing i guess there should be any short-circuit or even the spoiler module is KO. Keep posting!

Welcome back mate! :) I´m glad to know that all Corrado owners who sold their cars still miss them... It´s means that these cars are really special! :D
