I guess i know what you mean mate. I have the same situation. I swapped the entire suspension from my other Corrado. The problem remains. This includes, top mounts, shock absorvers, springs, suspension and steering ball joints, etc... So wishbones are my last chance! I also have an A-A bar from Sparco, which i need to check it better, as this could be responsable for the noise. The noise is a motion noise and it happens often on bumpy roads (when the suspension is having more stroke ). Keep posting! :)

Same here! Reverse Gear gets stuck many times and it´s not very easy to take it out! You must me gently as Jim says. Maybe there could be a relation between these problems and gearbox codes? Mine is a CBA and it´s the most smooth gearbox i have ever tried on a Corrado, though it has very short ratios for a G60 in my opinion...

What´s a BOV? Is it good for eating? LOL

The castrol might work fine, but i don´t know if the rubbers like it... I have used PTFE spray (same as charger) on my previously Corrado. The actual one is ok for now! :)
-
They´re all in the Corrado Knowedge Base! :)
-
I know that they´re available somewhere in UK... Don´t know exactly, though they´re really expensive if i remember correctly!
-
You should lube the charger with PTFE (teflon) spray like Riley, said. :)

I cannot run etka on my notebook because of it´s display resolution... Is there a way to run etka on 1024x768 ???

Hi Simon! The boost return kit is easy to fit. The blanking plate is placed on the charger´s inlet (right top side). The hose that´s connected there will come of the car. The small filter is for the valve rocker cover i believe... Keep posting! :)

Welcome to the Forum Fastfuzz, ! :)

I guess it´s just a strange coincidence! Have you changed you fuel filter lately? Is your fuel pump healthy? Keep posting! :)
-
Are they available for Corrados? Does anyone tryed / fitted these? I believe they would look awesome! :)

That´s ok mate! :) We´re here just to help! I´m pretty sure that Darren will fix you car with his eyes closed!

Spykee, Don´t get me wrong. We all want to help you out on this one... But how can you be so sure the lamda probe is ok? Is it brand new? Otherwise you´ll need to read it´s output voltage with a rich and a lean mixture and compare. Atmosferic engines should have around 0.5volt at lambda output. Turbo/charged engines should have around 0.8volt which means a more richer mixture. Do you notice any difference when you plug/unplug the lambda? What about doing the same to the CO pot? Please keep posting! :)

2cc, You are tottaly correct! The same idea spotted in my mind last saturday! That´s the way i´ve done it! WD40 helps a lot aswell!

Your catalisator is dead because your car was over fueling all this time. The lambda is about dead, or you´re having harness issues to the ECU. Anyway this means that the ECU has no lambda reading, and so, enters in safe-mode to prevent the engine to run lean. Dead catalisators rattle, they become very noisy...

Just check your fuel pump at various engine rpm and watch for fuel pressure drops. Any healthy G60 fuel pump should do 4bar. If you are running the stock fuel pressure regulator, then you must have 3 bar in the fuel rail. Lambda issues will only be related with overfueling. Does the engine start easily? The blue temperature sensor is responsable for the fuel mixture, lambda only gives feedback for ECU corrections. Timing at 6deg. should never pink on normal conditions. Hope this helps!

I also know M. Arndt! He sells several stuff at eBay.de! That´s where i met him!

Grey coloured is not very good mate. It means that the displacer might be worned... Try not to run the car many times before getting the charger inspected!

Nice thread! There are tons of G40 around here. And very rare to see a corrado! Polo G40 is very fun to drive because it´s very light weight. Steering looks like a kart. Brakes look like a sh*t!!! They don´t stop! They just slow down! :shocked!:
-
Once i drived a Corrado with a very bad drivers side front wheel bearing. The steering wasn´t affected...
-
Did you find any signs of oil in the hose?
-
Lucky me i found VEEDUBBED. He sorted me a very nice ECU Bracket and a pair of turn light repeaters! Thanks mate! Please let me know if you need anything!

Wow! This is absolutly wonderful! :D Now i understand what´s happening. Just as i suspected, the Jet´s Gearbox (CBA) is shorter and has less top speed than the ATB! :? Why in fact do they call this car JET??? It´s much more fun to drive the ATB! 8) I´m going to swap the gearboxes or even only the ATB final drive into the CBA. Any opinions?
