Unfortunately i had a terrible accident on the highway which i´m not guilty of all. My 1990 Graphitte Grey Metallic Corrado G60, God it was so beautiful... It´s now tottaled! And the other driver keeps claming that his not guilty. This case is now on the insurance company, and in a few days i´ll know something about it... Anyone who understands about mechanic will absolutly say that the car has no repair. Even the insurance company expert said the same, so being like this, all that i can get from this issue is some money to refund me. So i decided to go for another Corrado, after some days of search, and many cars seen, i found this awesome Flash Red Jet. To be honest, at the first look i didn´t like his colour that much. Now i´m getting used to it, but as there is a slight damage in the front, and the car has a crappy painting job, i would like to paint it. But on the other hand, i like to keep cars stock. So the question is... Should i paint it in black brilliant metallic or keep his original colour? The black colour would be nice to get some beige recaros on it later... Should i take the body kit of aswell? I´m confused and open for any nice opinions. Meanwhile i´m posting some actual pictures.

I´m not quite sure, but as i have read adjustable fuel pressure regulators don´t seem to work very good on G60 engines. You should go for the 3.5 bar Bosch one. But give it a try anyway! :)

I believe that the clunk sound is related with your suspension. To much time sitting?

Today i saw for the first time a very special VW Golf MKII 1.8L 16V Silverstone Editon. It has a badge in the passenger side with the build number which was 630 in this case. Is this also rare over UK?

I would like to test that oil. I have read lots of good reports about it. Thought it ain´t available around here... I know a friend who is travelling to Portugal this week. Is it allowed to bring oil in the airplane? I believe not...

I know that there´s a nut from the timing belt cover. Once i had that problem i found the nut on the engine bay. The timing belt cover was touching the timing belt and cutting it!

It seems like a slippy belt or even a leak from boosted hoses or Intercooler...

What does your VW dealer think of corrados?

Same over here! :x -
I wish 2x2 connector on G60´s could be more usefull than ABS comunication...

Is PG block the strongest block that vw has ever made ?

Don´t know at all but they look like war engines! Always running! :) -
Bye Bye! Click here: http://rapidshare.de/files/12187041/vw_ ... lf_r32.wmv Though it makes a strange sound... Sounds like a turbo maybe?

I´m interested for sure! Black G60 for Portugal please! :)

My G60 isn´t lowered as it´s not allowed here in PT along with many other changes... I´m running standard springs and Delphi´s Comfort Gas Shock Absorvers. They very comfortable and improve handling a lot! Great relation between price / quality! Any modern shock absorver will improve you car as they are much more better than the ones made about 15 years ago. Yes... I do work at Delphi! :) LOL

Are you using special tools like bearing extractors?

Bigger pistons? Different cranckshaft to get more stroke? :?

That has to be your lambda probe mate...

I believe this is a common porblem on Corrados. Mine does the same if you quicly shift up to 3rd gear. Although i haven´t checked the gear linkage. But engine mounts are all new, and i felt no improvements...

According to Rober Bentley Manual your oil pump should reach 2 bar at 2000rpm with oil temperature at 80ºC. In the morning i usually get 4 or 5 bar reading. It rises down as the oil temperature gets higher.

You´ll also need to buy a T-Piece to fit your oil sender. You may also use the white/blue wire that ends near the dizzy. This wire is being used, it´s not connected to anywhere. And you won´t need to route a wire from the engine bay to the interior. I did it this way, and it works great! Keep posting!

Take a look! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 81&q=rally Amaizing! :D

Yes, that is true! My G60 does the same noise, but only when you have drived for some time. It does not happen when you get in the car in the morning for example. I examed the clutch and everything seems to be ok! No problems at all. So don´t bother with that mate! :) Keep having fun! :)

Neither do I!!! Money doesn´t say anything to me! But My C is everything to me! :D

Welcome mate! I would suggest you to get a timing lamp as MFA vales are not very accurate...

I have never seen a Corrado VR6 here in Portugal, despite of beeing rare as well i´ve seen some Golf MK3 VR6 which i believe they don´t have the same bph. I never drove a VR6, i own a G60 and i love it. Simple engine, lots of mods available, lots of play and lots of fun. You can push your G to the limits whenever you want, just be sure to take a look at oil temperatures and most of all get your supercharger maintened! Both of them have very reliable engines. Don´t either drive over 68mm pulleys, 1.2 bar is enough to have fun! Get a Corrado G60 and have the time of your life! As someone said overhere... BOOST is Everything! :)
