  1. On the throttle body there are 2 micro-switches who tell the ECU that the car is on idle. When there´s a malfuntion on this switch your car will start reving up and down continuosly. And the other one is for full-throttle which i believe it´s to ignore lambda readings and to get the last ignition map. Please anyone correct me if i´m wrong! :)
  2. Just don´t go for the Yokohama ones! They suck! :drinking:
  3. Take a look at your engine mounts. This will affect the gear cables tension/distance between the shifter and the gearbox. I found mine in very bad shape! I am sure that it´s causing a deffo gear change as i´m feeling the engine wobbling aswell. I´m going to replace all engine mounts this week. I´ll leave some info then. 8)

    Tappets

Is it safe to use engine flush on a G60? My tappets are noisy now and then aswell, i wonder if an engine flush could help... :? Any reccomended brand? 8)
  6. Even with the heat shield... IMHO I believe that the best way is to take the carbon cannister off and take the air from there.
  7. Don´t those induction kits breathe lots of hot air? :?

    Timing

I´m having the same problem in my G60... I believe that engine mounts are gone (maybe just the front one), because when i push some gears hard i can´t even shift nicely, and then the gearbox crunches! It´s an annoying ride...
  9. Neither does mine...

    New bulbs???

90/100W 4000k bulbs! :) They are really bright! If you want a slightly blue film go for the 6000k ones. (my choice)
  11. I would replace the fuel filter and mesure the fuel pump pressure out (4bar). Also check your spark plugs (W6DPO) and give them a good clean. 8)
  12. There is a relation (for sure) between the iginiton timing and the MFA values... i would recommend you to set up your ignition timing properly (6deg) before paying true attention to it´s values. 8)

    G60 problem

IIRC the vaccum hose needs to be between 95mm and 1 meter long, the diameter is also very important. Try a search on the forum, i´m sure you´ll find lots of information about this issue. :) Keep posting!
  14. Mate... You don´t have a clue of how many times i opened the 1st picture so far... LOL I really like your car! :D
  15. Looks like a minter! :D Suberb rims! :-P
  16. That´s fast mate! :shocked!: Seems like you´re having fun! :-P
  17. My oil warning light plus the beep are coming on very easily (i.e. running roundabouts at some speed). I have checked the oil level and it´s ok! There are no leak signals anywhere aswell... What could this be?
  18. Jabba? :? SNS all the way! :D
  19. Sure mate! :) I always do some photo reports of my mods! :-P I can post them here (if all others would like to see) when i have finished the job, because on the moment i don´t have all the parts... As i don´t have all the Golf G60 pipes/hoses, i´ll need some alternatives... I still have some doubts, i guess they´ll be gone after the job!
  20. Thanks a lot Ian! :D You´re always near when a mate needs a hand! 8) And i see that i´ll need my visa once again! LOL
  21. Tie Bar? That´s a good one... I don´t have any bar holding the charger. Should i get one? Henny: I´m confused about connecting the IC output pipe to the plastic hose that has the CO Pot in the Corrado. Can i get any arrangement with hoses? Or do i need to get the Golf ones?
  22. I know it´s not from Bosch... But Bosch does both of them (the 2 pumps for late G60´s and the single in tank pump for early ones) for less money and the same german quality! 8)
  23. You should lube your charger with PTFE spray if you have the boost return mod. 8)
