Mine runs at about that. I think it's a coolant sensor, but I've not run it for long enough to be certain... Think I might give Ross a call and pop up at some point, as he VAG-Comed my car before. At least I'm not alone. Just been checking out the low miler Storm on Fleabay 8)

Straight after the repair to the fan temp sender. Ive cleaned the MAF just incase some cr@p from the BMC had got into it, but the problem is still there :? It's not me getting excited with the right foot as I was getting nearly 40 mpg just after the BMC had been fitted.

Not well at the moment, the cooling fan issues have been sorted, and now having recently spent a fortune she has got a sudden appetite for fuel and in doing 25 to the gallon if I drive very conservatively. Do you know anyone local with VAGCOM? My mechanic is in holiday for two weeks! I've got the 288's and new disc ready to go on just need to find the time..

Great minds think alike

Is that part number for the early or late type? Cheers.
-
Cheers Dinkus. There's a set on Egay near me but it's the early type.

^^^^^^^^ :) see my previous post

It's £82 + VAT  My ETKA has packed up so I can't check the part numbers :?

Is there any difference in the sponge for early and late models? Thanks :)
-
Congratulations Michael you're doing well. I've been a bit busy of late and the C is being very erratic at the moment and only doing about 25 to the gallon! Looking forward to the next mini meet when "hopefully" It will all be sorted.

I think they are only about a fiver each from the dealers
-
All fixed now. The fans were playing up due to a faulty temp sender and a fuse to my lights had fallen out :D
-
I can confirm this now as I was given 10% discount today :D They have stopped selling Pagid brake pads which is poor do's :(
-
The BMC gets my vote too. The noise is great when you are giving it some, yet nice and quiet during normal driving.
-
Cheers. I best dust off my membership card :)

Can someone confirm if we get any discount at GS&F? I'm sure I saw it somewhere :?

Better than I could do. Nice pics 8)

I've already invested in one and it's still looking good after taking a lot of abuse. Great quality and well worth the money :D

Nice work. I've always had a soft spot for red Corrados. Tell your tyre fitter to stop ruining your rims with those type of weights. Sticky is best :)
-
They are still available from the stealers. I purchased one about 3 weeks ago for about £47.
-
Michael, He has quoted £50 to paint your grill, although it may be cheaper if you take it in and show him :)

Can anyone sort me out with a wiring diagram or provide any details for the heated seats for a Polo GTI (2000) I have a feeling it may be the same as models from the same sort of year. My copies of ETOS and ETKA have decided not to play :( Thanks

Sorry to jump on your thread, but the work which has been done so far looks to be good. They have stripped everything bar the windows which I decided to leave because of the cost. Dents have been filled (some of which I didn't know I had!). The bonnet is back to bare metal and I think the paint will start to go on sometime this week :D I'm in Sultan tomorrow pm so I'm going into to have a look at the progress, I'll ask them about your grill then.

I'm looking forward to seeing your hard work at the SC meet (providing I get my C back by then). Bt the rate you are going you will probably have a charger fitted by then

4 -5k would probably be about right depnding on the body work, sh and whether or not it has leather?
