Now is a good time to buy as there are some good examples about at the moment for very reasonable money. It's a buyers market so don't rush into anything.
-
I saw this at the G-Werks open day. Sheer quality and what a sleeper.
-
Welcome. Nice colour and condition 8)

Sub 100k milage isn't everything. You'll get there soon enough if you use the car as it should be  Better off buying one with more miles which has been cherished than one with less that's been neglected.
-
Very nice colour but don't get lured into paying extra for rarity value.
-
Ive used the Zimmerman ones for a few years and have no complaints at all

It seems to be a buyers market at the moment for some reason. Agree with the 3-4 K depeding on service history and condtion.

You'll probably find that the paint has discoloured and all the cleaning in the world will not make that much difference. I took mine to a bodyshop and got them to paint it when they were doing a silver car. It's now in VW reflex silver and better than new.

Welcome to the forum. Keep the faith :)

Michael, I'm really looking forward to having a better look at this tomorrow. I bet you will have had it detailed by then :) I've found my Mk2 manual so if you need any info.......... I can see this turning into more than a daily (no not another bet), and soon you'll be after a real daily. Always better to have a french car as a daily and you won't be tempted to do anything with it.

Michael, What's going on! Try a trial separation for a month, then get back in the Storm, you will then see what you'd be missing. I still sometimes regret selling my other VR and hated the point where money exchanged hands someone else drove off in it.
-
The laser one will do the trick. I did my rear brakes yesterday with one.
-
It's pretty basic like the one which I have fitted. So far it's lasted for over five years, so can't be that bad. Make sure you grease and then tape up the connectors in order to stop corrosion and the water getting in.

It sounds suspect to me. I would deffo go some where else for a second opinion.

Corrados and wet corners and hedges don't mix!

Ouch! I'm glad you are are OK. It must have shaken you up a fair bit. -
The good news is that they won't let any water the bad news is they cost a fortune to replace.
-
must be faster too

Cheers Matt. It was a pleasure doing business, you are a great person to deal with :D

I've got a set of early window switches. PM me if you are interested :)

Edition 38 seller - takes the money and then asks for more

A deal should be a deal. There are some people who have very little honour. Dish the dirt on Ed 38!! Make sure you get your money back first though, plus any changes for the bank transfer. -
I think it may come from under the dash, perhaps something to do with the lower vents?
-
I opted for silver hammerite spray in the smooth finish to keep the OE look. I've just got to get round to getting them fitted.
-
I,ve just fitted a set and they are spot on. What a difference. Just need it to go dark now!
-
They seem to come up on the VR6OC every once in a while. I picked mine up for £80 with the hose, custom bracket and cleaning kit :D I just love the noise 8)
-
The fitting kit is just a small length of hose and two jubilee clips. Not £20 worth IMHO.
