You can deffo get them from the stealers and they should be cheaps as..... They look pretty standard do I'm going to see if I can get some from the scrappies
-
I have a pic of a complete loom which shows the two plugs as standard so, it should be plug in and play.
-
The lugs are spaced differently for each set of locking wheel nuts so it will be more than luck if it fits.
-
Yes, I had two looms which are spliced together the only thing missing is those two small plugs. It's a good job I managed to get hold of some s/h relays as thet are over £40 each
-
Supercharged is the second pic the rear of the fuse box. Is so you have solved my problems. Just need to get the two small plugs from the stealers and it should be "job done"
-
Fitting the two plugs to the fuse panel is a five minute job if you know where they go, and I don't
-
My local dealer has stopped supporting them as they are so cr@p. They advised me that you can no longer get spares through VAG either.
-
They are trilock aka sport raiders. They are crap, so much so you can't get spares for them as I have recently found out to my cost. The best thing for removing them is an Irwin bolt extractor. Throw them in the bin when you're done!

anything with the potential to save me money is a good idea IMHO
-
It was fairly easy although it took three hours as I had to take loads of trim out, including the seats and centre console. There was very little room to get the relays in the rear 1/4 as the space had been fitted with what I think was an old tracker unit. The relays seem to be working as they make the same noise as yours! I just hope the heated seat elements are OK after all this work.
-
I've now got the loom fiited as it should have come from the factory. The two plugs which are remaining go into the fuse box but I don't know where :?
-
This could be the next "must have" mod! Let me know how you get on.
-
I'm interested in this. Is it only the mkV Polo that has them or do others as well? I'm not up on my Polo's, what year are the MkV's? Ta. ST P.S. Will look around the supermarket car park tomorrow to see if I can see some others.[/quote:3f761] My Polo GTI is 2000 and has the under bonnet washer jets. They are probably std on most VWs now
-
Tape or fix a couple of mk 5 Polo ones under the edge of the bonnet and plumb them in They are designed to work from that kind of position so will probably be good enough to get you through the MoT.
-
Mine is a std loom. Well two which I have spliced together. I'll take my door card off and put the relays where they should go. The two remaining wires have plugs on them. They just need a home! I'll stick 12v down the black one and see what happens.
-
Where do the e/w relays live? I've put the relays in the offside front footwell, behind the cover by the bonnet release. The earth has been bolted to the chasis. The switch and seats are all wired in I just have the black and blue/grey wires to go. Got a feeling they may plug into the main fuse/relay panel although I'm not 100%. I remember someone posting a pic on here ages ago but I can't find it.

Help I'm getting desparate :brickwall:
-
Goldie -I'm not sure when I'm over your way next. You can always come over to CWD during your lunch break if you want?
-
In feel for you Mate. My Polo is worse for wear after a paper boy decided to throw both himself and his bike into the side of it. Polo - 0 Paper Boy - 1

I have a large selection of VAG relays. You are more than welcome to have a look through them.
-
Try a motor factors I think mine were about £3 for 10 :)
-
Don't forget the candle upgrade for the headlights
-
It would be like a ""how long is a piece of string" thread
-
I have made further progress :D I just need to know where the black and blue/grey wires plug into. I think they may go into the rear of the fuse panel, although I'm not sure exactly where :? Please help me to get my seats working before the summer comes.........

If you use waxoyl, apply it on a hot day and stand the container in very hot water for about 20 minutes beforehand. It will then be a cinch to apply with a pump type spray. It will also get into all the nooks and crannies! Don't forget to wash the crap of the car before application.
