Looks like they're be getting my business :D :D I have been with Norwich Union for the past few years and they cannot evencome close to the deal with Elephant :!:
-
Not sure how good Elephant are if you claim, but they've just quoted me £330 fully comp protected with a SP30. :? Then quoted £341 to insure my standard 1.4 Polo

The guy who seemed to be keen to supply, has yet to get back to me. Doesn't look good I'm afraid :( Mods, it may be worth locking this one for now. Ta.
-
I am still waiting for a response, as the seller is trying to find the cheapest way to post. Will keep you posted :)

I may be able to obtain some of these sought after publications direct from the States. Making the most of the favourable exchange rates at the moment, the only obstacle may be the postage costs. In order to lower these costs I have made an enquiry to make a bulk buy. I'm still working on a deal, but it may well prove to be cheaper than the seventy odd quid they seem to be attracting here. Would anyone else be interested

I bought one from GPC in Luton (01582728892). About 50 quid inc p&p. Pricey, but cheaper than the Stealers :)

Before I start pulling at the centre switch to change the bulb which illuminates the heater controls, can someone please tell me if the light to the heater controls is on the same circuit as the dials, or if not which circuit, if any, is it linked to :? :?: Thanks

The fuel consumtion on my VR has just plummeted. My usual trek to work normally returns about 30 to 36 mpg, however now as easy as I take it I am at most getting 25 mpg. Any ideas would be appreciated. Performance wise everything else seems ok except that the running temp seems high despite replacing the aux water pump and radiator thermostat. Help... :?

and me 8) :)

I paid 15 quid for one 2nd hand, although some people may want more.

If it's the splines on the motor it will probably be a new motor as they come as a unit
-
I have a spare motor, the only thing wrong with it is that the spline to the wiper is sheared after some t$$t tried to remove the wiper arm. I'm not sure if you use it for spares or vice versa. Think a new one is around 85 quid  They're fairly easy to replace tho'

What is the difference between this loom and the ones going on ebay :?

Any ideas on a decent bodyshop in the Portsmouth area? most of the ones I seem to try are only really intersted in insurance jobs or set a ridiculous premium.

Explains why Mark didn't call me back
