Cheers PhatVR6 Going to get me some good brakes now

Couple of pics of the old model for those who dont know it. Nice old schoole m5 engine in it too  And i do like Natalie Imbruglia....lots
-
Now i will be slated for this, but.... I dont like them at all. I drove a 645 when they came out and its lots of nice power and grunt but my god i dont like the look of them Inside is ok, the seats are not bad but that big huge computerey mousey thing is a pain. I would prefer much more the old M635CSI any day. They were a really cool car... let the onslought begin

Yeah that makes sense, i am in dublin as are a few of the lads DHL or FedEx are grand and it wont cost the earth to send it off and get it looked over. Worth doing the chip and pulley trick at the same time mind you, makes things work a bit better

Hi G60IRL, We are getting more and more irish corrado owners on here 8) Where abouts in the country are you located? One thing worth checking is does the silencer box on the exit of the charger have a crack in it? mine did and put out simular boose, but i changed it for a fmic and it made a huge difference. I would be warey about driving it too much to be honest until i had checked that out. Its not too expencive to ship to the uk and get them done several of my mates have done this. and its great piece of mind too Welcome to the site anyway

@PhatVR6 What mounting brackets did you use for the brembo's? The ibiza ones or did you get some made up?
-
Best of Luck with it!

makes sense that would heat the fluid lots  I have nice stickey pads on it and 280's, i was tempted to make up some sort of ducting to cool the brakes as the 16v's dont have the ducts the G60's have
-
Thats the way to do it, i do it when i go out in my road car, but the oil temp can be worrying alright
-
I have taken my 16v out and to be honest its all about knowing the track. Lots of perople here, in ireland, dont really try too hard, they just nail it on the straight bits. I have had a couple of great dices with things like e30 bmw's and mk2 escorts with nice engines. Has anyone who uses the corrado on track noticed the slave cylinder boiling and making the clutch drag? I presume a higher temp rated fluid would help to combat this, but any other suggestions to try?

Sorry to see that. Real shame about what happened! At least your ok! Cars can be replaced! S3's are well put together by the looks of things
-

JD runs twin inlets in his 16V G60 in the pic you can just see the second inlet over the rad
-
h100vw, Gavin, used make them for trimsport maybe pm him
-
i didnt realis it was like the ring that if you hit it you pay for it, double ouch, one for the car cost and one for the arco
-
yeah thats what i thought too, the engine in my golf vr6 and the parts golf vr6 are both AAA
-
can anyone tell me if this is a coil pack or a dizz ecu? part number is 0 261 200 495
-
Ouch, they both seem to hit the patch of grass on the inside of the track with a rear wheel. But ouch!!!! Thats the risk you take with track days To be honest what your mate is doing is the right thing to do, just rebuild the car into a new shell and get back up and going again
