i had a set of gmax in a car before, shocks and spring setup, it was way too hard for road use and too soft for track, just my experiece though
-
@double-6s, i think this is the tip of the iceberg
-
I agree with Kev, from my experiece either coilovers or a good quality shock spring combination(koni or bilstien shocks and H&R or Eibach springs) if you get cheap suspension your car will be a pig to drive
-
yeah i think your right, i just cant remember
-
its a narrow angle v6, its got 6 cylinders close together that use a one bank block and a single cylinder head Something like 12 degree V configuration engine
-
So where did you get this box from, a breakers and what exact model? Thanks
-
Looks Good Scott! Best of Luck with it
-
Maybe someone could do a chassis tuning guide, hint at kev
-
Quaiffe or peloguin diff would be a good start, with some new bushes and maybe even arb's

the 1h(rallye) Block is supposed to be the stongest, all that period vw engines had a forged crank and the g60 rods are supposed to be factory shot peened. the 1h uses a bigger head stud too, the same as the tdi engines it is essentially the same as the pg but ti has the larger head studs, lots of big power motors are based on these engines but from what i can see there is not a huge advantage to any block over another, once the internals are done right
-
the custom code stuff is very impressive if ti delivers what they say
-
nice progress there, so your going to build it 2wd then go 4wd? Got any more engine pics, like the mouning points
-
Does anyone have a listing of the differences in track of the mk2, corrado, mk3 and mk4?
-
@Lippy, the exhaust can be made work, the springs are too soft so you would need to uprate them to VR ones
-
Congrats! Best of luck with the car!
-
yes you can, i did it, some nice fabric dye adn lots of it, it will take time though
-
we want some impressions! congrats, i bet your seriously happy!
