My Dad has a 924 Turbo, they are nice cars, nice power! Go on take a look at it, you know you want to!!!!
-
Where in Ireland are you based? there are several places you could go, but best to get one close to where your based

the 1.8t is a different type of filter, its like the vr6, smaller but fatter too
-
if you use both the oil cooler sandwige plate and the oil heat exachanger use a 1.8T oli filter, its shorter and will just fit

Yeah, i rekon that the engine may be one tooth out, it is no more than one tooth out, lined the 2 dots with eachother and the top of the cylinder head but i think they must have mooved oncei went to tighten up the bearing caps i had the experience of a faulty torque wrench before.........nasty on a saturday afternoon
-
Hi lads, i have a quiery, i was talking with someone i know about the cam timing on a vw 16v engine, i know the 2 dots on the chain sprockets need to be in line, but do the need to be inline with eachother or with the top of the head? thanks
-
nice vid, i like it even with the skanky body kit
-
As for the chain, my mate with a 200,000 mile corrado 2.0 16v had it brake on him, luckey bastid didnt bend anything as a result one of the other lads had a nut come off one of the cam caps and it got cought in the cam chain snapping it Barry, there are 2 belts, go to the motorfactor up by james and order them, they will most prob have them in stock, they did when i owned that car and did the belts
-
george, you have some kit there.........
-
well kinda, but not thrash it, just give it a bit of stick, new set of tyres and she will be fine, i ended up with a bmw 320d, not too bad and quite quick, but i want to bring my corrado over as you need serious brakes and suspension there, i would nearly say brakes and suspension over power
-
I have just come back from the ring and it was fantastic! onle saw one uk corrado, a vr6, anyone on here? we had rentals ourselves there were a few german and dutch corrado's and some serious mk2 golf's but thwe vw for the weekend for me was the roma tuning mk1 16v g60, it was balistic till the charger poped but he didnt seem too worried anyone there?????
-
i used get about 36-37 out of my one on a long steady run, but abusae it and it will drink it! get the lamda checked, they are supposed to be changed quite regularly
-
what sort of money are the supersprint ones? i know the trs ones are quite pricey, a mate got a magnex one for his mk2 16v and it was perfect, but that kinda messing would drive me mad
-
slightly modded engine  i got the brakes, suspension and interior already done, so the engine is all thats left, then it will be nice and quick

Another Irish Corrado Owner! Thats a lovely colour alright As for the age it kinda sounds like it may have been a showroom car. My 92 g60 has all the late exterior bits best of luck with it!

rmn replied to davidwort's topic in Drivetrain
thats what my bushes and droplinks looked like after 120k on the G60 now they are purple  -
well i have 3 ex uk cars, 1 2.0 16v and 2 G60's, one of the G60's is very bad, so really only suitable for parts, but i will keep it as is for the moment and maybe re build it to the road
-
i dont like them, and they dont do anything on a corrado due to their position
-
Thanks VR6, wasnt sure where to put it @George, i bought that corrado to do the other one and still have wheels
-
Thanks, i am in ireland so fed ex it will be

Anybody know how to remove and replace a rear quarter panel?
rmn replied to jimbobbalooba's topic in Exterior
with a corrado the inner structure behind the quarter paner is serious!! it is very very strong to remove a second hand quarter panel from a donor car you need to cut it on the car side of the seams and then trim back the panel, i wouldnt recomend this as a new panel will fit better and be less hassle as for getting it fitted, you need someone good with bodywork, but the corrado is stronger than other cars so its less likely to get out of allignment when you cut off the panel -
Hi i need to get my abf cylinder head ported, i am just wondering if anyone has any recomendations on where to get this done? i have heard Race power are very good, anyone got experience? Any names and numbers of compnaies appreciated. thanks
