  1. biggerbigben, yeah i was sizing up my back axle last night, so am trying to figure it out your back ones with mk4 r32 or tt inner cv's should fit 100% as the haldex is narrower than the syncro diff (10mm i think on each side) with the front, if your using rallye track up front then the fabia shaft on one side(left i think but i will confirm when i get home) and the sudi one will fit 100%, so no need for custom jobbies, the fabia is a mk2 width track with a mk4 style box on it(i priced these as £130 for new shafts) What i will prob do as i am going 5 stud(due to some stud shearing fun on track last year  ) is get the mk4 shafts shortened to fit, so not totally custom but basicly custom and on the back use rallye driveshafts that i have with r32 inner cv's I will post exact info once i get home
  2. Good idea Ben, From my understanding the best option is to have custom ones made i know you can make standard ones work with the use of a skoda fabia vrs one on one side and an audi 80 one on the other side up fornt. At the back your existing shafts will work with some shanging of cv's Are you using 4 or 5 stud hubs?

    Project corrado

good stuff Scott! Keep up the good work
  4. excellent work there, this is a few weeks away for me now, i have the floor welded in and am sorting out the rear axle for my 4 wheel drive conversion before going to the engine. Keep the pics coming!
  5. nice job, i like the trimming of the front bumper, very very neat
  6. did he pay for that conversion or they pay him, thats crazy!
  7. Right a bit of an update, been trying to sort out my front and rear suspension, not the shocks and springs but the hardware fo it. I have decided to use mk4 R32 front wishbones as they are forged so no need for some seam welding on 13 year old ones, they fit into the vr fornt subframe quite easily with only the sightest modding to them. these will mount up to mk3 vr front hubs on the rear i will be doing the haldex mounting bracketry myself, after speaking to several people who have dont it themselves it makes sense as i have all the templates i need (a rolled ralye shell to trial fit stuff to before going ont the corrado  ) the last issue i had was with the rear track, this i think i have figured out(feel free to correct me lads if i am way off) there are 2 type's of syncro rear beams a plus and a non plus type, they are basicly the same but have different mounts and hangers onto them bolt the rear wishbones, these came in several types. the non plus ones came with a 65mm ish baring and then a plus type with a 73mm ish baring(exact numbers not to hand but about those numbers) these were all on the 4 cylinder cars and made the track at the back 1430mm the vr6 syncro for what i can figure out had a 1439mm rear track the same as that of the passat g60 syncro, the extra 9mm appears to be made up in the actual hub/baring area. so what i have is a full 1430mm rear beam setup, so i think i will stick with this, any input fro coxy or phat would be appreciated now
  8. nah Kev, i rekon twin 24v's why else would he be looking for the vr subframe Jay was getting rid of. Best of luck to him anyway!
  9. very nice, i always thought that would be a good idea
  10. Best of luck with it, nice to see some different modding going on!
  11. Gearoid its looks very veyr good! Best of luck with it!
  12. Bilstein's too, i think its PSS9's H&R use these dampers
  13. search for the turbo technics corrado's they were only 1.8's but it will give you a general idea Failing that contact places like stealth Its very doable, you need to drop the compression ratio and find some way of manageing it(g60 management might work) The germans still sware by 16v turbos Lots of info on the web but take what you read with a pinch of salt
  14. CoxyLaad, That would be correct! Colourful language makes it fit easier i belive  Got some more pics now, its got the bottom of the boot floor all stone guarded and the welds all covered up too

    SHOW US YOUR RIMS

here is my G60 on 16" Speedlines
  16. you dont actually need the floor, you can do it without the floor, its the rear beam you need and they are not hard to get, cleck out Coxy's thread, he has some savage work done on his one. Done away with the need to do what i have done with the boot floor J Dub need to come out to play again! so make it better and 4 wheel drive is better! Diesel is cheaper so 4X4 diesel makes sense! in the immortal words of Starsky and Hutch "Do it!"
  17. finally some pics of the floor, pre cleaning down and undersealing underneath Rear Panel Right Chassis leg Left Chassis Leg fornt of boot floor(where it meets the original floor) Left inside of boot Now the body needs tidying up and paint on the new metal
  18. Hi Henny, is that graph since you had your last few bits done? Very impressive!
  19. firstly i am not sure if i put this in the right section so mods feel free to move it about What is the correct way to remove the pedal box from a corrado? I took the one out of my scrap car but it was a pig, i didnt remove the servo and am thinking i should have, instead i trimmed back the metal on the steering column bracket. Obviously i cant do this on a car i intend to keep, so whats the correct way? Thanks
