with the rears you could just get a set of brake disks redrilled, so thats quite easy the front will be the problem I think the drive shaft splines will be fine, the offset of the caliper and disk will be a bit more difficult due to offsets. I am not sure if the hub center will press into the corrado hub, but if it will that will be fine, then just work out some brakes. Everything is feasable but the amount of effort is the deciding factor

Best of luck with it!

anyone know the track of the mk4 R32?
-
the problem i see with this is the bias. i am not sure if i am right here but if your rear brakes are too big it may cause the rear to lock up, right? search on vortex at the big brake conversions by wilwood and you will see the 2 caliper setup but i think the brembo covers are the best idea yet
-
same thing planned for this easter too
-
thanks supercharged
-
the way the brembo rear brakes on porsches etc work mean they wont work on the vw setup unless you do some serious fabricating there is an internal drum in a porsche rear hub and thats the hand brake(like rs2 Audi) then the brembo caliper just operates the foot brake AFAIK willwood do a rear brake setup but doesnt the front do the majority od the braeking anyway? you could fit tt or mk4 reak brakes and a bigger disk, much simpler way to get the look

yeah brakes are a big thing, i killed the brakes in my 320d last year, in fact the 4 rentals had no brakes after the weekend. nice set of pagid orange pads are suppoed to be the job With the likes of the dorient you have a nice car park to do some work on the car, thats where we stayed last year and this year is booked too Tyres are important but its not too hard ont hem, just make sure they are good ones that wont give up

Anyone have the part numbers of the seat rack or an idea of price?
-
Cheers Gearoid, i am more meaning as a rule are they good or bad for performance? Thanks
-
Ok, i started another thread as i dont think this one covers my question but i will ask it anyway What sort of performance do powerflow exhausts give, are they restrictive with exhaust gases or not?
-
What is the common feeling on these are they good for performance of the car? does it breath well with them? I have one for a lter bar type mount, whats involved in fitting it to an early car? Thanks for any input available

Anybody know where i can get some Bonrath Poly Top mounts? I have seen them in a few places advertised but cant for the life of me remember where i saw them Thanks

Eibach or H&R ARB's are the ones to go for H&R make adjustable arb's too, but they are a little more expencive. @Kev, i didnt realise the H&R coilovers were infact Bilstein's with h&R springs.

I have experiece of a few different setups On my old VR6 golf i have koni coilovers, made the car 100 times better nicer handeling less lift under acceleration and much less dive under braking, that was coupled witn new OE bushes in the front suspension. Worked very very well then i got my g60, in that it had some horrific gmax setup that was pure hell on wheels, so i binned that and got a set of koni coilovers with some powerflex bushes, the turn in was 100 times better and nice and firm to drive, not to everyones taste, but i liked the harshness and feel of it on twisty road its was fun to drive. on my 16v corrado i have koni top adjustables and H&R springs, these are a great setup for an every day car, not too harsh but yet firm enough and the adjustment makes them tweakable enough to see what suits you. I would not recomend coilover for anyone who likes their car as comfortable on all road surfaces, cheap coilovers are a definate no no to as they are just crap generally. For the money koni t/a's and h&R springs are a great bet poly bushes are a good bet for anyone who wants a hard car that turns in well, but OE for comfort I have some eiback ARB's to fit to the g60, once it gets painted but they are supposed to make a fantastic difference, we will see. Has anyone had any experience with KW suspension, i am looking at theyir V3 setup for my blue corrado at the moment and have heard lots of good stuff, mainly form BMW owners thougth, only a few vw heads
-
looks fantastic! keep up the good work
-
eurospec are top quality stuff! they even made a new head for the G60 block
-
256mm using the carriers that you have, you can use 280mm's using g60 carriers to go bigger you will need new wheels and calipers/carriers(something like seat ibiza cupra R brembo's would be perfect but you need 16's to fit them behind
-
yeah but its 56 pages  Thanks

I have been having a discussion with a mate about the various superchargers for the vr6. Whats best, what kit or what chargers? I have seen the chargers for sale with no brackets and am wondering if they are available?
-
its not illegal as far as i know, one you inform the new owner you did ti. Lots of classic cars have that done after a concourse rebuild, or used to have it done, it was a big deal in the 1990's
