ah fair enough, any info on their brakes?
-
the ibiza ones sit on a little mounting bracket that bolts on the original brake carrier mount and then the caliper bolts to that, the Leon ones i think use the same fitment i think
-
Where does Stoeve motorsport parts, i want to get some suspension bits i have seen on their site Thanks
-
 thanks, i have tt 17's goign onto it, so clearance wont be an issue Thats what i thought about the spacers so thanks
-
I have a bit of a question, i have got my hands on some Seat Leon Cupra R brembo's I have not collected them yet but will be at the weekend, can anyone advise me if they will just need the same setup to fit as the 312's or will they bolt straight on? Thanks
-
Love that colour, what sort of spec is the engine?
-

thanks, so inrder to use the mk4 brakes there is no advantage with the later highline hubs?
-
thats a very very fast section, somewhere between 80 and 100 on the way in there is a dip and if you dont have the line you need to kill the speed to make it round otherwise the car will get all light on the way round the bend and you will have to brake with the arse in the air..... poor bastard and very lucky to walk away
-
car took the impact very very well, glad the driver was ok @stokesay, were you in it or do you know the owner?
-
I am confused....again What cars came with 288's? I know the mk4 gti had them from day one, so did the mk3/corrado that had them have the same offset hub as the mk4? so to fit mk4 front bakes or brakes designed for a mk4 platform you dont need any spacers? Am i way off or what? Thanks and i hope its clear

here is a track pic for any of you to see the location, it is driven in a clockwise direction

Lads the ring can be a killer, i have only been there twice and both times seen some serious scares the 911 that crashed at easter was a 993 rs, he hit the barrier hard and took the right front out of the car, it split the barrier and came back accross the track, it didnt kill any bikers but there were 2 bikers off up the road and may have been put off by the crash. That corrado crash is a very heavey one, they lads are luckey they didnt get thrown out, it also looks as if they didnt hit the barrier so they are not going to be charged for that. It is a testament to the cars inherant strength, i assume the double skin panels help this. As Kev rightly said any sort of a cage is a good idea for any car to be tracked, i have a bolt in Wiechers jobby for my g60 and that will be at the ring soon. As for the ring and speed, you are a fool if you try and go fast, it is all about lines as sokme of the local boys say. There is a lads who lives near there and has an e34 m5 track car, it is insane to watch going round(perspex windows, cut out door frames, solid suspension, slicks etc) well he has an mtm tuned mk5 gti now which is standard except for a remap and some better pads and its an 8.30 ish lap car just because he knows the track. The key is to learn the corners, then the speed comes, i was going quick in the few corners i know, but if someone comprimises your line coming in there is no margin for error(approx 6 feet of grass on most sections till the armco) I have had a few close calls myself and a mate wrote off a rental 5 siers this year, thats why i would advise taking a rental car for the first couple of visits because you wont push it as hard as a car you know. My 2cents or ramblings  I am going back the end of may all going to plan

AVIS in Germany will hire you a spanking new 997 Carrera for £700 for a weekend btw now that would be tempting! i just hired an slk(read as girly car) but they do handle very well and have good brakes its still a real petrol head heaven, the museum in the hotel with the old racers and bmw's is great. lots of big off's mind, one poor english guy made a bit of a big mistake and tried to run, but he will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident for that. but it is class to see some seriously tuned vw's lots of tuned r32's (mk4 and mk5 lots of mk5 gti's golf's and polo's
-
Just Came back from there this year, savage weekend! Quite a few corrado's, only 1 uk car but i didnt get a chance to talk to them did the whole rental race car thing again Anyone else there?
-
Sorry for you, thats a seriously nasty thing to happen!!!! Bastards who do that should be shot!
-
yeah thats it, like the one that was in my blue corrado and is in my passat
-
anything from a kr or 9a will fit your car barry not the one from the mk3 16v without all the brackets and pulleys
-
Anyone have any pictures of the setup of the bracketry on either 12 or 24v engines?
-
The Audi ones have ornage lights, never seen the yellow before, its kinda cool
-
I am interested in this too whats is the story with the bracketry, is it available seperatly or is it something that could be made up? here are some chargers on ebay, none the correct version exactly clicky

Controversial - Which type of Corrado has the best sound?
rmn replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
Just found this thread, i am in the luckey position to have a G60 corrado, a 16v corrado and a VR6 golf. By far the VR and g60's sound better than the 16v does. The G60 is a howl and its great fun, but can be a little annoying, but the VR just sounds awesome the more you push it.....its a difficult one, i am going to sit on the fence
