  1. yer you would think that... depends what ur after... im always lowering mine.... leave it for a bit.. wait a month or so till all the scraping stops, then jack it up and lower it again haha... with my beetle i kept doing this untill i could no longer go over gravel cause it scratched the sump lol... dont think its a good idea to go toooo low on a rado thought cus there so nice to drive would ruin it... saying that i hit a dip in the road at bout 120ish the other night and my sump hit the ground HA. thing is with coilovers there so easy to adjust just take them down gradually untill you find a ride height that your happy with looks wise and performance wise.
  2. such terrible news! they said its not life threatening so i just hope she recovers mentally aswell! read a few reports and they all say her helmet took allot of the impact, feel so bad for the poor lady! hope she makes a healthy recovery and gets back behind the wheel doing what she loves.
  3. yer, im running KW V2's atm, just recently found out that KW owned Weitec so was just interested in price and ride quality etc.... because before i brought mine i was stuck between KW and Weitec, love the look of them though! green looks nice! just a shame when u buy nice coilovers no one will ever see them :(
  4. how much did the weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeitechs set u back?
  5. i agree with the above mate, i wouldn't go any more than 16" inch. i have seen allot of people put big wheels on corrado's and tbh they just look NAFF (IMO), the shape and design of the car just doesn't suite big wheels.. plus with smaller wheels u can achieve more lows! i would recommend 15-16's dependant on your modifying ideas for the future... also stud patterns dont really matter to much, as in todays market there are so many wheels adaptors and spacers of so many varieties, u can almost make any wheel fit any car (within reason) so just shop about and see what u like the look of, everyone's taste is different! Im running Staggered Porsche Cups @ 7J x 50et on the front & 9J x 70et at the rear, on 40mm spacers/ adaptors going from 5x100 pcd to 5x130. put few pics from the other day below..... IMO the fitment is better than i could of imagined, sit plush all round with a great "PHAT" look at the rear, had to stretch the tyres somewhat on the back to they dont scrape but thats only due to my choice of ride height. Overall in my eyes i got achieved perfect fitment. Hope i helped u out mate! keep us in touch on what your thinking! and post some pics up of styles ur considering! im MORE than sure everyone on here will happily give you opinions and advice, good or bad! all the best!
  6. So Glad im Back on the forum! i kinda missed all these corrado related debate sessions! BRAVO  (keep them open, not for the fact people can argue, but its good for general questions, also saves time as a question many may have need only be answered once and everyone can see it, so it saves time and creates an efficient thread, even if extremely vulnerably to arguments and heated discussions! its all good fun though!) also IMO the manifold is sick mate! dont change the price get as much as you can for it! thats what anyone else would do if it was them selling it, whether they admit that or not! Besides, its sick! and if i had the spare cash i would snap it up!
  7. so basically i need a newer shape one as i waner keep the same light set-up... any idea when they made the change from early to late corrado? 93? 94?
  8. yer tbh im not to keen on smoothing the entire thing (lights 'n' all), i didnt really make it clear but i ment just the number plate recess, i quite light the fog and indicator set-up and my mate did the entire thing and imo now it all looks a bit plain. so yer, just the number plate recess really, and YES! getting a spare is definitely a good idea.. :) and i only plan to do the filling/plastic welding myself, then she is of to a body shop to have the entire front end re-sprayed. ALSO! DOES ANYONE KNOW.... if all bumpers fit all Corrados? mines a late 95? do all years and models fit each other? or is it only later models etc? any info would be appreciated! CHEEEEEEEERS CHAPS!
  9. Anyone done this before? got any tips? also know best place to get a full front light set-up as new.... indicators, fogs, headlights... etc.... thanking you! p.s (any CF meets coming up?)
  10. after the front bumper mate... also does anyone have any idea if the bumper on this 1992 will go straight on my late 1995 VR?

  13. Few updates, and pictures, the JL system, soon to upgrade and amp my interior speakers as well, now have a part time job at Oxfords leading Car Audio specialist, so if anyone wants prices on anything... or just has a question they would like me to put forward to our specialists then please feel free, we specialise in absolutely anything electric, alarms, hands free kits, audio (obv), etc........... also i spoke a while back about having a badged front grill, after much thought i had the idea, to instead of buying a badged grill, use the one i have to make a custom one-off badged grill, using the 2012 VW T5 Sport badge, i wanted to do something different and the things massive as you can see, im excited to see the end result, of course im not attempting this myself, one of my new found friends at Oxford car audio is an awesome boot build and custom install specialist, single handedly doing all of alpines demo cars, so we had a chat and when we have a spare moment at work in the next week or so we are making it happen :) Also i finally thought time to put a new radiator in, is was leaking only a little hear and there, but "rad weld" isnt really my thing, and to all you out there who have replaced a radiator yourself (IN A VR6).... i respect you with great honour!, as that was one son of a b*tch to do! and i gave her a little clean over the weekend, so snapped a few shots, only taken on a ****ty black berry but she still sits pretty! hope i made a good read for a couple of mins..... NEXT up is the full front end re-spray (17 years of stone chips!)... ill keep y'all updated on the grill too! will be interesting yo see the end result as i have never seen a Corrado with a custom T5 badged grill before. PEACE OUT!
  14. thanks mate, yer would look nice! the V2s are absolutely brilliant, iv had a number of cars on a number of different suspension set-ups and with all my friend cars in mind the v2 are some of the best suspension i have experienced! the price does reflect this mind you at over a grand a set, but there are just amazing mate! like your driving on rails, firm yet very smooth. would never buy anything different. thumb up from me anyway.... when suspension is in mind it just depends on price... what i did was just look at reviews, there are thousands on the web :)
  15. thanks chaps :) means alot, yer since i first got it i wanted some either RH cups, or staggered Porsche wheels. so picture this, i had 500 spare, then saw a set a Staggered Porsche cups for sale for 500, with tyres and spacers the lot... ready to go straight on a 5x100pcd... well i thought it was Christmas come Fekin early! haha just had to be done! :D was ment to be
  16. thanks :), yer thats them... guy selling them was such a nice bloke, ended up getting the wheels, tyres, spacers/adaptors, and 2 sets of studs including lockers for £500, oh and the genuine home mad Las Vegas dice dust caps! The wheels are SUCH good condition too! was a right "bobby dazler" of a deal! when they first arrived i just thought they will never fit, but turned out they sit picture perfect :) ---------- Post added at 11:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:55 AM ---------- yes mate of corse i did :) 3 coats of the thickest of hammerite! my dads bin doing classic car restoration for over 40 years, and has made some of the most expensive cars all around the world, I wouldn't let just anyone take a grinder to my car haha
  17. More updates! MOMO Team Racing 300mm steering wheel and boss, top present from the folks for my birthday! Venair Silicone Hoes kit, wasn't as hard to fit as i thought! Finally sorted the new wheels, so happy with these! really set the whole car of! Being 9j on the rear a few adjustments were needed! How she sat Saturday all ready for UD12 My little souvenir from UD12, such an awesome day! loving how she looks atm, overall a very expensive and very productive week or so... next up, respraying the front end, will try stay updated Charlie
  18. basically when i bought my car it came with a De-badged grill, but i prefer the grills with the badge, but im sure there is someone out there in the reverse situation... so does anyone just want to do a straight swap? my de-badged one is as new, spotless, so the badged one would have to be of an equal standard. thanks Charlie ---------- Post added at 9:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 9:21 AM ---------- like this!

  23. yer, my mate a savage mechanic, i spoke to him on the phone, (as i thought the same) he thought the might be for that, but later found out there not? other forums seem to be having the same issue! all a tad confusing?
