LOL all you need is eyes to see that they are shart!
  4. mate, mines a late 1995, had the exact thing... tried everything, if what i think your sayin is correct, you start it, then the revs drop, either droping completely cutting out, as if the key has been turned of, or sometime its starts, revs up, drops rite down, then catches the revs and sits at idle, despite what everyone else says, and by no means am i undermining anyone, as what they say may well be the case, but mine turned out to be a dodgy ignition barrel/switch, as soon as i replaced it it starts perfect every time and i never had the problem again. if what ur describing is what im imagining, then im pretty sure thats a likely possibility... easy way to tell is take the plastic bit off, under your stearing wheel on the colum, find the plug that goes into the back of the ignition barrel, and try start it while pushing the plug with you hand into the back of the barrel, thats how i diagnosed mine. hope i helped bud
  5. appreciate your honesty. how about drivers side fog light? and have you got a badged front grill by any chance?
  6. hmm, yer that sounds like its simular condition to mine, mines ok, just like signs of wear, after i nice mint one tbh. so ill give that a miss pal..... whats the situation with bumpers? after a front bumper (late spec) with lower grill intact, preferably a splitter but not vital!?
  7. how much to post the front bumper to oxford? and when u say the tow eye cover is broken... do u mean literaly just the cover? i could surly just put the ones of my existing bumper straight on in lue of the broken one?

IMO you would have to be sniffing glue to even bid on these! sorry, i know they have the word "RECARO" on them, but they are absolutely SH_T! i mean look at them! THE STATE OF THEM! LOOK AT THEM! (FACE PALM, and SIGH)
  11. http://tyrestretch.com/ every wheel every tyre, every size on here mate! should be all you need to know. very good website!
  12. IMO these would go on no problem, however as they are a low et, would have a bit of poke, but nothing illegal. just would sit wider than the standard wheels. if i was you though mate, and this is just what i think, i wouldn't buy reps, i always think its better to get genuine wheels, as if u buy these reps the quality isnt great, we sell them at my work, among other reps, and the finish goes all misty and they will look ****e after a year or two, and be worth pennies, but if u brought some nice second hand genuine wheels, (old bbs's) (old vag wheels) (Porsche) many others, maybe some for the same price as that, that need a re-furb, they will give you a little project to refurbish them, and if u sell them in 2 or 10 years they will still be worth a nice amount. plus they are made alot better, just take ur time mate, when it comes to wheels there are literaly thousands out there, just gota be patient and the right set with turn up :) ill try have a lil look for you at some examples! ---------- Post added at 8:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 8:08 AM ---------- http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4034849.htm http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4004404.htm http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3988230.htm http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3983909.htm http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3974907.htm http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-e220-16-alloys-with-Goodyear-tyres-x4-/261057840778?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item3cc842868a#ht_690wt_1396 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x-16-Mercedes-clk-e-class-190e-vito-alloys-5x112-need-refurbishment-/320915213651?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item4ab8098d53#ht_6077wt_1163 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-SL-R129-SL280-320-300-24V-500-600-16-ALLOY-WHEELS-/200774673676?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&fits=Car+Make%3AMercedes-Benz&hash=item2ebf1a650c#ht_500wt_1180 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BBS-ANNIVERSARY-16-SPLIT-RIMS-MK3-GOLF-5-X-100-/120946360421?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item1c28f70065#ht_597wt_1396 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bmw-5-6-7-8-series-rc090-bbs-split-rims-alloys-wheels-rc-090-tyres-235-45-17zr-/221067159062?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item3378a12616#ht_500wt_1413 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RONAL-DEEP-DISH-ALLOY-WHEELS-15-7-5J-SET-OF-4-/330758692404?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item4d02c11e34#ht_500wt_1413
  13. GOD! please dont.... dare to even think about it! haha..... that radiator really did bring the worst outa me ha. Little "Build" Update as well, when driving in the local area, i came across a speed hump, one some may call ambitious, (the kind with like its own kerb edging) any way, long story short it left me with cracked welds on the cat and mid box. So i took her home, rang up a mate with a welder, a few hours and several cups of tea later, we ended up with a straight through 3inch stainless pipe running from the SS 6 branch manifold to the back box (already Longlife), my theory being if I remove the cat and mid box, then surly this problem can never happen again :D haha! well that and the awesome noise it now creates. NOTE: To all others thinking about a de-cat and/or removal of centre box, its nowhere near what I thought! i was thinking it would be a bit harsh, loud, hard to live with, buts its not... it really nice, a lovely subtle burble on tick over, with a lovely smooth low down growl through al the gears (OK so the cams and the chip may help this) but generally not as harsh as i thought, dont get me wrong at full chat it ROARS, but just general cruising about its lovely! highly recommended! (if you have a mate who does dodgy mot's of coarse!) also the power gains were instantly noticeable, with what seems to be alot more high and low end talk. thats all for now, new grill this week, and she booked into the body shop next month, smoothing the plate recess, and getting every light replaced with brand new ones. hope i made an ok bit of reading. Peace out :)
  14. although the thought of a V10 911 does make me wee a little bit. i completely agree with you on that mate. a cars individuality is its selling point, its character, its soul. But sadly in today's climate it seems you can only go one of three ways: -You belong to a stupidly rich billionaire so funds are not a problem (Spyker) -You sell out and loose everything you ever stood for (Lancia) -Or you keep your originality and high production costs and individuality of build in every single model and series, making no compromise of cost or taking any notice of the current climate you are in... inevitably ending up going bust (Bristol :( ) seems to be the sad but true reality of it all :(
  15. with all this in mind, and last weeks news...................... it does bring to mind, the inevitable possibility of audi's V8's/V10's finding there way into 911's? what would this even create?
  16. ah, miiiiiiiiiiiiiles away, im just waiting on a price for one of these from a local breaker, so once he gets back to me ill give u a shout if yours is looking cheaper. chers mate.
  17. Got a good condition Gear knob mate? (yes my knob is ****ed)

  20. even more than Kate did after the wedding Fishwick?
  21. thats sick that u were VAT free, no shock the toss pot force we call our government found another way to make more money from other peoples expenses! yer not entirely sure on what exact part of the set-up causes this, was just saying from experience from current and previous cars, and many friends cars, that in general just bare in mind that the ride height itself does drop a little (10-15mm) within a few hundred miles from when u fit the new coilovers
  22. hmm..... just have a lil experiment! one thing to remember is if ur coilovers are new they will bed in and drop a further 10-15 mm within a few hundred miles! just have a play mate no matter wat u set the height at u can always change it :) ---------- Post added at 12:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:07 PM ---------- since when was Guersney a VAT Free zone? please explain!
