    Can someone explain how you'd go about fitting a new sill ? It seems to be the whole sill is continuous and the metal runs on into the rear wheel arch and on.. ?

    And for anyone else who gets this prob and is flicking through these threads in months to come, the problem was solved by ordering a caliper repair kit from VW for 9 quid. The rubber boot part that goes round the piston was ripped.

    Just a general question. Im filling out the form and it's asking me to list "modifications or extras fitted" to the vehicle. My question is this: if you were to mention you were a member of CCGB when getting insurance would the insurance co be in any way able to access the info im putting down on this form?

    Well my Corrados not too busy these days. (Winter storing). I thought it was in a warm enough temperture though to avoid that happening. Thanks for your help guys will have it sorted.

    Daves16v, was the problem intermitent ? I would of thought that if mine was seized then it would be constant.

    Front right brake is sticking intermitently, causing the steering wheel to vibrate and making the wheel really hot to the touch. Disc was glowing red last night after this started happening again. Had to keep on driving for about 3 miles. I've been advised to just drive the car faster and brake harder to shake this off. I havent had a chance to do this properly yet. Any one else experienced this and if so how did you fix it. Replace the pads perhaps?
