I think it was Jim on here that said it they had the stig had to be driving back to Italy straight away remember everyone one wants to test drive one of these bad boys so im guessing they were pushing their luck with their test. Remember he arrived in london at dark and to do a track day meant another day which they may have not have had so i think we shoudl jump on them without knowing all the story sorry guys
  3. guys i must be the only person out of 10 working in london today there is no one about riding in on the bike was fun except i forgot to put my heated grips on and thermals in :( but hey still fun having no twat trying to run me over this morning :D

Storm77 - totaly agree with you mate i hate to say it but im in love with the mkV from the diesel i had on holiday as rental car to the R32 and i def feel that the guys are VW taken leaf out of AMG books and got that full bore noise just right ;) The car is so well designed I cant see them toping it just the room inside the feeling of driving it, come on they had the rear wheel up and still went round the courner perfectly (as trust me thats not just the R i had my TSI with rear wheel up in the spanish country lanes with my cous following me behind and the car felt planted) even in the GTI handleing is form another world. Sorry but ill prob get shot but the MKV is a amazing car full stop lol ill even go far to say its got the edge over the corrado as it looks good handles great but means you can get people in the back lol flame suit on so bring it on lol
  5. well take my word for it once uve got the turbo pug ur fecked im still looking to build my own 16vT but lucky for me im building two now for mates so i can get to rag theres when i want to but there all good thats what makes having a 20v lump so easy wack up the fuel and boost and ur done goes back to the uno turbo days all u need was a fuel preassure regulator a bleed valve and stronger dump valve and bang uve got a mentally fast car that would be on or past a M3 simple really

  8. good way of ending, but no offense to the owner of that car but why did he let them use there car its a show car not a fast car my borthers G40 would have gone round there quicker than that pug in the end of the days the other guys choose a preped hill climing car hence they should have got a modern modified fast car rather than show also the games console v's reality was cool but ive heard in most cases its no where near but hey im still praticing on GT4 for a certain european track if i ever get to go over there :D

  12. thats down to a water temp sensor on the side of the head, ive forgotten which one it is now but someone here will know but more likely to be a earth on the engine that causing it to do that add a new earth strap to the engine direct to battery or body can pick them up from halfords for £3 a strap and worth it trust me

  14. there is no air intake temp on a 1.8 16v there is a outside air temp sensor usually mounted on the inner wheel arch if im not correct
  15. nope completely different design pistons in 9A are bigger, also because of the crank and rod design means the pins etc are different distance etc so it will not work S2 engine is a 1.8 16v without the extra piston hence why people get the S2 pistoins and rods and put them in the 1.8 16v
  16. scarlett - uve got a 2L 9A havent u ? well if that the case u cant use the S2 internals that will only fit the KR block as for the turbo thats a good one and ull be able to run more depending on ECU I knwo there is two or three 16vT that turn up to Ace Cafe (event I used to run) running on megasquirt and really flipping quick incase anyone's interested also GazzaG60 personally i choose the 9A as they tend to hold more abuse that ABF (know a few ABF's fall apart) plus its a more compact engine and good crank design which makes it more revvy than the ABF, but then there is some good ABF turbo lumps out there just comes down to opinion i guess
  17. mate good luck ;) thats looking really good u going throttle bodes?? as with all ur putting in its the only way to go few turbo mates of mine going throttle bodies now also great look exhaust manifold properly done all nice equal lenghts :D well done upto now hope works out well and think about the throttle bodies its worth it

  19. damm thread been busy :D ok like Kev said 20v easier as its out of the box but then if u were to do the work to a 20v like you do to a 16v JE low compression pistons, great turbo etc the 16v will be better engine going by past examples ive seen for me the ultimate would be what http://www.ame-racing.de built 2L 16v trottle bodies and great bloody turbo :D oh and the slightly quick 500bhp its running now (site has videos of it running about 450bhp
  20. really, thats really good :) just shows u how good that charger is, i know a lot of people love the G60 but when u see the likes of vortech makes it look as old as a horse drawn cart lol (only kidding but u get the idea) Also yeah i know he is the king amazing mapping and a lot of charger rebuilds makes it possible but for someone like us to do it becomes very un economical/unreliable as ull spend most the time rebuild things Now there is a kit for the old X flow in America its easier to put onto a 16v pity ive run out passion :( jeffcabbage - hello mate to tell u the truth unless you find a 2nd hand kit (they do come up) ull need to spend alot more to get it done properly ive mentioned a few great turbos and i think others would agree they are good turbos plus modifing allways go over budget trust me ask anyone on here

  22. yeah remember g60 boost same throught out so when u have a engine which eat up boost and fuel lol like no tomorrow it will, you should know with the turbo 16v the reason boost would drop is not because the turbo couldnt make it, the turbo boost the same throught out but it (say 12 psi) had run out/gone past its limits (because of housing, bearings, turbines, etc) hence why it tailed off, not sure if that sounds right or come across right but hope u know what i mean :D hence why people go for bigger turbos but get more lag urs is a centerfigual one which mean the more it spins the more it boost the perfect charger :D but on idle doesnt produce no way as much as a g60 and remember ur supercharger is built for ur kind of engine the original went on the big boy V8's out there ;) wish i had take the time and put one of those on my 16v but it looked like way to much work lol

  24. i can believe it but with this T24/40R i know someone running 2 bar ok no vw but its a 2L 16v ok boost about 2300-2500rpm and doesnt stop until limitter and i mean no tailing off either because it has a hhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeee inlet 4" means it can suck and push alot more air and small exhaust means good reponse i.e spin up off course the other bits help lol lucky for me my comapny supplies the nickel in them so i might be able to get a few nice special prices lol but still working on it lol
