  1. Thanks guys. I almost sold it after the PVW shoot but wanted to enjoy it a little more and tackle the haldex conversion - well thats now done and I've been planning a big bhp R32 turbo engine conversion but when I sat down and looked at the money I would be sinking into that I decided against it and thought I should be sensible and purchase a house in the next few years. Obvously I would take a serious offer for the car complete as it is. On the basis that is drives and its taxed but it needs finishing off. Ben
  2. Hi Guys, Bad news I'm afraid. The time has come for Corrado ownership to come to an end. I've been in deep thought over the last few days about bringing this 6 year venture to a close. Basically I'm at the stage in my life where I'm looking to buy a house, clear my debts etc and selling the corrado is unfortunatly something I have to do to achieve this. I've enjoyed every last minute of this project and taking part in the VW scene. I've been rolling in a dub and been in the scene for almost 8 years now! Crazy how time flies! Anyway I will be putting up an advert in the for sale section later today and across all the forums. I am going to break it as its not a complete car as such and I beleive I can make a fair bit more by selling it in parts. If anyone want anything then please let me know. pm or email me @ [email protected] I know a lot of you will ask about the wheels - basically I'm going to strip them and have them re-furbed back to new. They will have tyres and adapters inc with the price, but the price will be a realistic one as I need to attempt to get back as much money as possible. Thanks all. Ben
  3. It isn't quite there yet mate.. ;-) it may go on a track but who knows.. lets see how the new engine works out! On my new engine the head has just gone off to be flow tested, but I'm looking for a donor head to cut up in the name of R+D :-) Ben
  4. Thanks mate. Apreciate it! That filming was done the day after the PVW mag photo shoot.. The exhaust is probably only about 50% powerflow now. I made a fresh 3" downpipe as their attempt was aweful, then it goes to 2.5" with a single 'small' silencer and increasing to 3" again under the boot floor pan. Its pretty loud. I think I'll be putting a bigger silencer on the car with the new engine as it wouldn't pass any noise restrictions for track days etc as it stands. Ben
  5. LOL cheers. What are you up to dude? thought you has a custom made exhaust not too far back? you gonna go for side exit exhaust? :D Would love to have your zorst mate, but have had to resort to bargain hunting/scrounging :( Just bought a Rallye system a while back for the bargain price of £25  , only hassle was collecting it from Tamworth (the missus was not impressed!). The bit I am going to have grief with is the manifold :( , as I am going to keep it as a valver for the winter/spring. I always planned to turbo it, so never worried about the zorst as the Turbo would 'pressurise' the whole sytem and so I could be quite sloppy. No worries.. just thought I'd offer. I'm sure there is an IHI 4wd mk2/mk3/corrado out there in need of a nice stainless zorst :)
  6. Look at all my old syncro bits... you've cleaned them up well mate - looking good! Do you want my exhaust mate as I'm not going to need it shortly? Ben
  7. Guys guys guys... just wait and see ;-) The rabbit will be out of the hat soon enough, as it were :?
  8. LOL - or maybe one of these  127_14.jpg[/attachment:fb62d] shuussshhhhh.. hehehe
  9. I do hear what your guys are saying but its so useful to have all that extra room at the front... B
  10. With my 2 weeks off work coming to a close :( I thought I'd post a few pics of the cage so far. I reckon its about 2/3 complete now. Hope to get back to the folks in a few weeks time to finish the interior part off. Still scratching my head as to what to do with the engine compartment. Half of me wants to go full out with a space frame design and the other half is saying just take the cage to the front struts.. thoughts? Ben
  11. Whats the reason for the sale Stan - fancy a change?
  12. Sure. Once I get the car back to my place in guildford I will be putting it on axle stands and re-furbing the Porker rims back to a new state ready for sale.
  13. How reliable can that be though? Surely 450bhp+ and you start to get reliability issues? junkie, why not 2.0l 16v turbo then? you've already got the mahoosive turbo? I am slightly biased as you well know... Its only as realible as the componens used - Have a look at TS Tuning's 750bhp 16v turbo - http://www.tsracing.no/A3.htm
  14. Cage update - :D I've almost finished the rear section, hope to start bringing it foward to the A pillars tomorrow if I get time out from a twin engine conversion I've been helping out on in a Fairline.
  15. arhh, now that WOULD be telling ;-) I'm not going to lie, there is an engine on the bench but I can't decide whether to sink cash into my 20v or sink cash into the new lump... undecided as off yet. I'm focusing on the look and finish before fiddling with the engine and running gear side of the things. Ben
  16. hehe no worries chap. I remember getting the 20v before every man and his dog had one, but you can't knock the tuning potential! I put CTN gears in my rallye box. Even with 340bhp I thought they were too long! I have standard TT ratios in my current 02M but there is a thread on vortex about changing out to oil burner final drive, so I might consider that. If I was you consider VR6 ratios as they are much better for the type of driving we do int he UK. 16v Turbo would be cool and 600bhp+ is still very much possible. Ben
  17. Yeah me too. But for my particular car I think its a good route to go down, as its pretty much there already. Just needs a tidy up. Been looking at some awesome new rims for the car.. The Porker rims, once re-furbed obviously, will be up for sale at this rate! ;-)
  18. Considered swapping it out for a bigger engine? Or you bored of the car itself? B P.S. - must get the controller hooked up!
  19. Can't wait to try and take it arround MK roundabouts sideways LOL Still trying to get hold of decent quality braces, will just have to keep an eye on the forums like you said. Haven't seen you for a while, or your motor :D and changes? Sukh, Your more than welcome to buy my rear strut brace chap.. good as new, no damage, give me a shout over email..
  20. A track inspired road car that will probably never visit a track.. is a better way of putting it! :D
