  1. But it's also very easy to check if it's been forged Jimmi!

Look at the end opposite the electrical connection and if you push a small screwdiver into the openining you should be able to get the plunger to move. This is the valve that opens and closes when required.

work the spring loaded plunger at the end a good few times when the carb cleaner's in. Don,t know about Redex, I've always used carb cleaner or plus gas to clean it then a little bit of WD40 to lubricate afterwards.
  4. What you do is fit 2 clutch ones - fit perfectly with no mods. Do a search and you should find the part nnumbers.
  5. Hope you're not implying I have anything against chavs, or any other like-minded individuals John Lol!

The ISV is next to that - it's metal with an electrical connector and about 5" long and 1" or so in diameter. You need to take the plastic cover off to see it and access it.
  7. Fantastic photo - really captures perfectly how good the Corrado can look.
  8. Also agree - I still have the Golf mags and PVW from issue 1 and if you were to read them all you'd agree that the quality of the content has declined to the point where I haven't bought either for at least 2 years with the exception of this month's PVW - and that was only to feast my eyes on OSV's ex ride - that was worth buying.
  9. Bought mine in 1999 it's on 56k, summer use only now limited to 1500 per year. Modded in OEM+ style with all original parts retained. No plans to sell (but Roddy's got first refusal if I snuff it Lol!)
  10. Diggerbucket's right - they may only need adjusting but whatever you do don't overtighten them or they might seize. You should be able to move the large washer without too much force with the tip of a screwdriver.
  11. Get busy with the pen Goldie, you too could be famous - they're always requesting articles. Don't have to be a show winner to be featured , just a CCGB member.
  12. Haven't bought PVW for ages but I will make a point of buying it. Well done really deserves a whole issue devoted to it - an OSV special!
  13. Bump stops and I'd imagine at that mileage the shocks if they are still original.
  14. Front top suspension mounts Stan?
  15. Still going out I think David, just got mine today.
  16. Sorry Jim haven't a clue which issue it's in reckon 3 maybe 4 years ago.
  17. There is a good guide in a copy of a sprinter from about 3 years ago. I ain't got a clue where my copy is but perhaps someone else has now I've jogged their memory.
  18. Had a similar problem with mine and had to cal the AA out. Turned out the battery was knackered and he disconnected it for about 15 mins then reconnected and it was ok then.
  19. Think you just need to keep the arm/disarm button depressed till it resets. Probably a good idea to turn the siren off first.
  20. Jim, You omitted to tell me if you want it now. If so PM your name and address and I'll pop it in the post. If CCGB AGM is ok I'll bring it with me. Bill
  21. Pretty please Jim lol! Course you can. Do you want it now or maybe CCGB AGM if you can wait. I think I've also got a copy of the instruction manual if you want it. Just tell me how you manage to get insured now with that alarm as it's no longer Cat1 which is why I had to change it.
  22. I have 2 spare fobs as I've now had a new alarm fitted. You can have one if you want and I'll keep the other in case anyone else needs one. PM me your name and address and I'll send it unless your located fairly close and would pick it up.
  23. Yeh you're right Cazza - meant 500 but no drinking honest! Blackberry of course Scarlet - top colour!
  24. No he isn't from Nigeria. He left a note on my windscreen at Stanford Hall last year asking if I wanted to sell. Obviously been looking for a good car for some time.
