They are in trade centre Wales. Not sure if he owns it but I wouldn't buy a car there personally! Used to be ken thorne I think but now run by the son I gear ias daddy is no longer allowed to trade anymore after being in some hot water allegedly!

Lovely!

You and your 'details' lol :pale:

Not sure what an ISV is, but maybe look at the MAF sensor? It was making my car stall when cold until I took it off and sprayed some electrical contact degreaser/cleaner inside it. Running fine now, just a thought?

Agreed best film I've seen all year I think. Seriously? you rate this over inception ?? (unless you haven't seen inception yet?) Thinking of poor films...... check out Fear of clowns......now that is THE worst film I've ever seen.......shockingly bad!! No not seen Inception but heard good things. Not seen Fear of Clowns but it sounds fantastic lol. My nomination would be 90s version of the Island Of Dr Moreau...

Fixed the issues from 'yesterday' and was happy with the motor started up and is running sweeter than ever

Swore a lot when I snapped the serpentine tensioner pulley - BALLS! If there were a "what will I be doing tomorrow" thread it'll be ordering a new tensioner.
-
Just snapped mine earlier trying to take out the rattly old bearing - D'oh!!!! Planning to oder one from AVS in the morning it's 63 for the whole unit as I can't find the pulley on it's own (bar from volkswaparts who seem a bit dodgy). Any better places/prices before I order? Need it fast car's not going to be used until it's done.

Yeah it wasn't my first choice (or send or third to be honest) but looks better in the flesh than the pics appear in fairness.

Thanks guys. I'm seriously thinking about suspension and wheels but will keep the original stuff so it can all be reversed if I do...
-
Sounds consistent-ish as I only asked him if they would fit rather than if they had any available. I'd be up for a bit of group buy action this winter if they will go straight on. I do have mk3 Golf VR6 brakes will that be ok? The standar 15's fit nice but tight.

Well I never put up a members page when I had my white VR. Wished I hadn't sold it, I took advantage of the bandwagon that Top Gear provided in 2003/4 and sold on for a £1500 profit when prices went crazy. Having had a LOT of stuff in between (viewtopic.php?f=41&t=96496&start=10), I find myself back in another VR and as happy with it now as I was then. Heres the old white car for posterity!Gently lowered and I set the trend before white became all the rage LOL. And heres the new one: 95 M only 2 previous owners and only 73k on the clock. FSH with every bill, receipt blah blah. Only mod is an AMD remap pushing just shy of 200bhp according to the dyno. Last owner had it 10 years and after a dabble with Magnex and Spax etc, sourced all new VW suspension and exhaust which Stealth fitted in 2005 so she drives a lot better than I dared to hope. Must be honest I went looking for blackberry/leather and ended up with red/cloth but it's the most original car I've seen. Theres virtually no 'pinky' paint worth mentioning as it's been garaged throughout (but obvious it's not been repainted), and it gives me the foundations to either keep it in showroom standard form or do some mild fettling of the suspension, exhaust and wheels (looks on stilts compared to most on here).

I emailed performancealloys about the 2110 speedlines a few weeks ago, they told me they were available and didn't mention anything about minimum orders etc??? Looking at getting a set over the winter, 17x7 according to the site, but surely the red one must have a lot of arch rolling going on? http://www.speedlinecorse.co.uk/afterma ... er2110.htm Would I be able to get them on my car with a sensible height drop (std at the mo) without bodywork?
-
Similar to my previous post on my old car. Love: Looks Lazy power Modern build and feel Being completely standard Low purchase price Hate Standard ride height/wheel combo (I know I'm contrary) Standard speakers Leaving it anywhere!!!

Cleaned out my MAF sensor to stop it from cutting out all the time when cold - was such a drag...!
-
Watched my first ever Bollywood film called Om Shanti Om last night - was flipping brilliant!!!!!!! Easy 8/10
-
I had voted Candy White need to change to Flash Red now!!! :)
-
Thanks, any idea where I could get some? I think a set for that money is worth looking at even if the adapters are a little costly...
-
Hi guys, sorry if this has been covered before. I've been looking on ebay for wheels and seen these sets of RS going for what I think is reasonable money http://stores.ebay.co.uk/onestopBBSshop ... ec0Q2em322 But will any of them fit my VR6 with or without an adapter plate etc (and if 'with' then what plate would I need)? Thanks, Pete.

Bit of an update - the car is now running on evil black wheels!Car looks evil. Matching black/silver badges are on too. 5 coats of black later, the finish looks almost wet in the sunlight... Poor pic though, if the sun ever comes out again I'll have another go.
-
Cheers guys! I'm well chuffed with it, especially as the sun has finally got his hat on again this last few days!!! :D

Thanks for the tip Millerman!!! I know, I'd dearly love another VR, and I was very interested in Merod's 57k mile car but needed a set of wheels quickly as I didn't have anything at all. The Micra goes well for a little car with a 1.6 engine, and handles really well as the wheels are right in the corners with no overhang from the body. Plus the Micra is a car I'm happy to park in the darkest, roughest places and not worry about it, I couldn't do that with a Corrado I'd be on tender hooks all the time!!!
-
Was looking at a few cars with a 20k budget like a 996 or 500SL but ended up getting 2. I'm rolling phat as they say during the week in a black Micra 160SR, and for weekends I have this little beauty. 111R with the VVTI Toyota lump, so 189bhp standard (has lotus sports stg2 exhaust and Hanger111 ECU remap bringing the power-cam in earlier). Drives sublime :D Hard top means all year round fun, though I wish the sun would come out to play a little more before it gets too cold to have the top open!
