  1. Aluminium also retains heat, which is why heatsinks are made from Ali.
  2. I think I'll go back to him and say do it from the inside or not at all. He is doing it alot cheaper than most other places. I'll let you know what happens.
  3. Nice car in your previous posts but I would lose the BIG characters, just doesn't do it for me. They are too 'in ya face'.
  4. Is there anything special pre-cautions to take when swapping the said cams over? Is it just a straight swap?
  5. Yes 1/2" in the door pillar. I would have thought there would be sufficient space to reach my dents from the inside but hey, I'm no expert. The guy doing the job has had a couple of Corrado's in the past so he might know what he is doing. BUT and it's a big but, I, like most Corrado enthusiats wouldn't like holes drilled in their body work, especially bigholes. I ain't gonna leave it there. I'll make enquiries.
  6. Cheers mondy, let me know if they or whoever does it, have done a good job. Dave
  7. The company is Dents Plus. Yes mate let me know. When are you planning on having your dent removed?
  8. I've heard the exhaust cam from the KR will need some machining if it's to go in the 9A. Is this correct? Does the KR inlet cam need the same work?
  9. Thanks guys for your comments. If anyone knows of any good dent removal people in the Notts/Derby area that you've used before please let me know. I need to get these dents fixed cause they are embarrasing and are keeping me away from meets/shows. Cheers
  10. Yeah that's a good idea, I'll go get a second opinion.
  11. Yes He wants to put 1/2" hole in there..........now that's big  There isn't a problem getting the interior panels off, he says the position of the dents make it awkward to get to from inside the car. Of course I would rather he didn't put holes in my car. I haven't decided to let him do it yet.
  12. Has anyone known dent removal people to drill a hole in the door shut area (if that's what it's called) to gain access to dents on the quarter panel crease, and then fill the hole with a grommet? I'm having dents removed on said crease and this is how he proposes to do it. He claims it's difficult to do by going through the back of the panel because he requires leverage. He comes highly recommended so should do a good job. I don't mind him doing it this way but I've never heard of it. I intend to get hold of that rigid plastic self adhesive tape stuff and paint it, that way there will not be any visible grommet when viewed from the side. Your thoughts please. Dave
  13. Jim, if it's any help I'm not entirely satisfied with the distance my OZ's sit in the arch but of course that's my opinion. I can't justify selling my OZ's so I'm gonna make up a custom set of wheel spacers at work, we have the materials and equipment. Cheers
  14. Anyone know the size of the grommet needed to fill the hole?
  15. I'm looking to put some wheel spacers on soon, does anyone know where I can get longer wheel bolts? Do Halfords do them? Cheers
  16. Jim, my OZ Crono's are 7x16 ET37, have a look at my recent thread for photos 'My C in the lakes'.
  17. I didn't think Samco did a set for the 16v. Where from?
  18. rapid response..........cheers matey
  19. Gonna pick up a top rad hose today from GSF. They also sell the VW coolant, is this the same stuff as G12+? They did day it was pink in colour and slightly cheaper than the steelers. Thanks
  20. Perhaps it's wearing out, how long you had them on? Not sure when the blades should be changed, I don't think peeps on here have had them on long enough to judge.
  21. Cheers randal Anyone else care to comment..............I need to get it sorted tomorrow.
  22. After this mornings incident my journey home proved more of a head ache....................my top hose decided it would split. Called the AA out and they made a temporary fix so I got home 30 mins later, not bad service from the AA. At least the hot coolant went someway to washing down the engine after my oil spillage. Anyone know how much the top and bottom hoses are and also how much G12+ coolant is? Do I need to buy these from the steelers? Also is there a thread on here somewhere for changing the coolant without creating air locks? Thanks......again.
  23. Thanks for the quick reply. Wash it off the cambelt or just wash it off the engine and the cambelt should be ok???
