  1. Where are the best lifting points front and rear on a Corrado when using a trolley jack? Photo's would be handy. Cheers
  2. Had a call this morning from Halfords, they told me the OZ Record wheels I'd ordered are not available in 16" :x to$$ers. Oh well I'll have to wait for my OZ Crono's on Friday :D :D :D :D :D
  3. The correct measurement is from centre of wheel to underside of arch lip. Standard height is 360mm.
  4. I didn't like the ride of the 17's, I also had suspicions about the tyres, they may have been a hard compund. I was told they can make a big difference. The ride on my 15's is ok but did like the bigger wheel look so I'm trying to compromise. I've got the Koni's set at medium so I can adjust if I need to. I'm optimistic :)
  5. ok guys......they are OZ Record, 16x7. They are new for 2004 and my guess is that they are possibly the replacement for the OZ Cronos as they are very similar.
  6. Halfords have got 20% off again...........so..........I ordered some lovely OZ alloys today mmmmmmmmmm :D :D :D Got a cool £150 off  NIce! I'll post some pics when I get em, should get em by Friday.

    Boot lock

I think you can by removing the trim panel, that's the one you remove to get to the reverse/fog light bulbs. I've never tried it with the boot closed tho.
  8. You will have to drill two small holes in the floor for Stainless Steel self tapping screws. On the filter side you will take the cone off, insert the duct, the shield sits up to a flange on the duct, then when you re-attach the cone it will trap the shield.
  9. Heatshield update. 1st proto is partly finished, just need DELVR6 to come up for the fitting. See photo. Once I'm happy with the final item, the production units will quckly follow........sorry DEL but the pressure's on you mate. As for price, I haven't worked it out yet but it will be less than £20. Of course you can go ahead and make your own. Dave
  10. My neighbour had his 360 Modena for about a year now with a personal plate. Comes up corrrectly on RAC website. It was on his Maserati 3200GT before.

    koni shocks

The standard ride height is 360mm. MY 16v with the Koni kit is sitting about 30mm lower all round.

    MOT time

As Corrado's have ABS niggles, itwill fail on this if your light is on.
  14. matt buz, Know what you mean, I have a 2L 16v that has only done 76k, is in good nick and has virtually nothing wrong with it and I also don't want to buy a high miler whilst inheriting it's problems. All these G60 and VR's are just too common  be different! 8)
  15. Seriously Mike, what exactly is behind this? :? Why so many? Do you plan to ditch one of your VR's and replace with another C....one you don't already own? I seem to remember a while back you were selling your Black VR. Or is it all top secret
  16. ok, that's me silenced
  17. Would the Passat Moonroof suffer the same problems as the C over a period of time? If it uses the same mechanism to slide/tilt, are you buying a Moonroof from a breakers that is also on it's way out?
  18. Nobody.........I want my C all to myself :D
  19. My bro works at a Ford dealer spraying cars and if I remember correctly he doesn't removed quarter panel glass that are bonded in but lifts the seal to get a good coverage.
  20. If you mean 4.30pm then yes it would have been me. I'm pretty sure it was 3.30pm. I was in the city centre before 4! OK I believe you. I do see a few Green C's in Notts so it probably was someone else. Talking of Green C's, on the exact same stretch of road today at 4.30pm a Green M reg VR6 passed and gave me a wave. Anyone on here? Dave

    Ride height

Just thought I'd share this with my fellow Corrado owners. You may or may not already know this. Recently found out the ride height for the Corrado is measured from the underside of the arch lip to the wheel centre. I guess this is the same for all cars. The standard ride height is 360mm. Get yer tape measures out. :) Dave
