Got the C booked in at local VW specialist in Notts for new pads all round and a brake fluid change. £136 all in, does this sound about right? Good quality pads too. Can't be too careful where brakes are concerned!!!

I had a quote from elephant couple weeks back for a VR. Came out at £382 fully comp, less than my 16v at £432 with Chris Knott...............and yes I'm tempted to sell up and go buy a VR but can't afford to buy a good one with reasonable miles. There are VR's out there for around £4K but all have way too many high miles. My16v has 74K BTW I'm 34 with full no claims and NO points.

Dan. love the alloys on yer G60, what are they, sizes, offset??
-
probably G reg year 1990 hence G90???
-
sorry to have a negative input but the first thing I noticed was the larger than normal gap between wing and door or is it just an optical illusion???? :?
-
I thought the offset was measured from the centre of the wheel to the mating face of the wheel, therefore the style of spoke is irrelevant.

I've heard you can quickly thin out the paint on panel edges/corners if you over do it.
-
why do people do these crazy things??????????? :(

I think the kit specifies 30-40mm drop so it could well be closer to 30mm but I checked the height from tyre to arch before the kit was fitted and it had dropped 40mm. as been mentioned before the wheel being further in may be confusing the eye
-
if the ride height was any lower the wheel would not be concentric to the arch and in my opinion does not look good, I'm happy with my setup
-
town driving for me too, do about 200 per week, need to get out more 95M with 74k
-
ride height side shots hot off the press (yes it's peeing down in Notts)
-
first time I've used this forum so don't know how it all works I would guess that pics over a certain file/pxel size are shown as thumbnails for the benefit of those with slow internet bandwidth I'll take some better side on pics of my C in my lunch half hour and attach em

Tyres are 195-50-15 The fact the wheels are well in probably doesn't help the look - that's one thing I want to address. It looks to me as low as the pic you attached.
-
Cheers mate, polished it just before these pics

Could do with wider 16 or 17" alloys as the standard 15" look a little lost after lowering 40mm. Now you all know what to buy me for Chrimbo :D

I ran the car on different settings for two to three weeks at a time. I wouldn't say it doesn't feel right, I'm just taking time to find the best/comfortable setting for me. £410 from C+R Enterprises in Notts. I also had to buy new front top cups as the springs were a bigger diameter, also from C+R for about £21. This after my local garage had stripped out the old suspension!!! You are welcome to try out my setup if you feel like a trip up or are in the area.

Yes. I intend to post more pics soon.

I have this very kit fitted to my C. I like the ride height but as for the springs I've not made up my mind yet cause I'm still playing around with the T/A shockers to get the best ride comfort. Only had them about 3 months. I don't know haw they compare to the H&R springs though. If I'm honest they are probably a little stiff for my liking but maybe ok for someone elses preference but hey it is a sport kit so is going to be stiffer. The rears are height adjustable via a circlip that has 5 settings. Dave
