  1. Right this has been rattling my brain for some time now. I removed the solenoid from the drivers door and found some dodgey wiring to the solenoid harness, repaired that then found the plug on solenoid itself was corroded. Cleaned the corrosion off the plug and still no joy. My boot has decided to lock on me aswell, so I can't fill my car up at the petrol station now.
  2. Right I've just tried another pump and the central locking system is still not working. I can't even hear the pump priming or anything.
  3. I've checked the pump in the boot and cleaned all the connectors aswell. But still no joy. I've had a good look and still can't find this fuse that people talk about. My windows operate fine aswell. Could one of the door lock operators be faulty and not allow the system to operate?
  4. Ive searched through the thread for answers to my fault but not found anything. So here I go- Noticed a few nights ago, when I put the key into the drivers side lock to lock my C I could here the pump working to lock the system as I removed the key, I could still hear the pump goin. Once I had walked away from the car, the pump was still goin, so I went back unlocked it to stop the pump working then re-locked and the pump worked as normal. Now since that fateful night my central locking has stopped working. Whats the score? By the way my corrado is a 90 1.8 16v Ive been looking the past few days for a answer on this site and others. But I still cant seem to find this holy fuse that is suppose to be on top of the fuse/relay box. Ogh and I cant seem to unlock the passenger side door with my key either, even though when the door is unlocked from the inside the handle operates as normal.
  5. Defaintly need to do this to mine. On spirited drives it feels like im gonna pull my steering wheel off. I read this thread a few times now, but im gonna go down the new route. Im just gonna order the corrado specific fixed column instead part no.535419503H. Then I can just reuse all parts from car ie uj, plastic bearings and spring. 6. How do you unblock possible sun roof channels? I seem to get a small leak from inside the A pillar.
  7. Ive noticed that my driverside footwell is wet, at first I thought it was the dreaded heater matrix because all of my windows are completely steamed up and no matter how much I use the heaters or the windows down I cant seem to shift it!
  8. Very nice, when will you have another batch made? Thanks for the quick reply.
  9. My mate also has a trade account at eurocarparts so thats not too bad. Whats the part number for the bosch items from euro? Thanks again for all the help Jim your a star! Its also always done this when idling cold it will stay around 1000rpm and generally hunt between 800 and 1500, then when fully upto temp it will idle around 1500 to 2000. Normally when it idles around 1500 to 2000 I have been driving for sometime and then stopped at some lights and noticed this but even when just tickling the throttle pedal it will still sit at around 1500 2000 depending what mood its in haha.
  10. I wouldnt mind one of these for my 1990 1.8 16v corrado, I dont know if there is a difference in the wiring loom. Thanks
  11. I would be interested in one of these, do you have a picture of one fitted to a customers car by any chance? Thanks
  12. Could someone please recommend a Tracking place that uses tracking gauges that use the wheel rim rather than the outside tyre and also what should my corrado be setup from the factory? The reason I ask is I have tried a few places near me and they have all said my car is too low for there gauges to be fitted. And no I am not going to higher it! haha Cheers
  13. Cheers Jim mucho appreciated for the info and price quote aswell. I have now just found out that I've got a new job so no more 100mile round trip to work and home, everyday of the week for the Corrado!
  14. Hahahaha ahright, I nearly swallowed my mobile when he quoted me that price! Ok I'll give them a shout thanks.
  15. its a 1990. Ive just been quoted £499.87 for 5 injectors from TPS near me.
  16. Does anyone have the part numbers for a 1.8 16v injectors? And is it also a easy fix to renew the seals in the dizzy aswell? Thanks
  17. I suppose it doesnt help them being covered in oil from my dizzy aswell another thing on my to do list aswell. Mine has just creeped over the 168,000 mark, so it may well be overdue some new injectors? Although I did put some injector cleaner additive when I first pulled the car out of hiding and it ran alot better afterwards.
  18. Jim Southan this is what I was trying to do, although I have most probably miss-interrupted it haha. http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?195423-HOW-TO-Correctly-set-up-a-16v-(prevents-stalling-when-cold!!) David wort- The thermo-time switch is that one of the sensors underneath the dizzy? The spark plugs are the first thing I was gonna check once it stops raining. Cheers for the info and graph.
  19. All I did with my corrado that was stood for around the same amount of time was, disconnect the coil lead, fresh battery and a few jerry cans full of fresh fuel. Turn the engine over to build oil pressure, then re-connect the lead. Then start it up, thats all I did. But remember to put fresh fuel in.
  20. I thought thats what it was but wanted confirmation, just incase. That sounds very easy to do. Ive not adjusted the co2 screw, because it didnt even try to run when just unplugging the red and black wire at the coil and blocking inlet. I did make sure however that the engine was upto its normal working temp aswell. I'll try the injectors and the WUR and get back to you. Thanks for all the info, its much appreciated!
  21. How can I check to see if the WUR is broken? And where is it located? Thanks
  22. That would be ideal, cheers mate. Then at least a mod could sticky it.
  23. Hiya, I've been searching around a few forums but with no joy on getting a answer. Over the past few weeks the fuel economy on my 1.8 16v has been getting worse, I average over 100miles per day in my corrado mostly motorway mileage at 60mph. But quite recently it has started to run rich, to the point where nearly everybody says something. Even when fully upto temp it stills smells rich. I run the car on either v-power or tesco 99 and it always has regular oil changes. Ive cleaned the ISV and its made no difference. I even tried to adjust CO by using a guide on clubgti, but my corrado didnt even want to fire when trying to do this. What could you recommend? Thanks
  24. Ok then, looks good to me and what I want. I'll paypal you the money once I'm back from the pub lol.
