  1. yeah it's connected to the brake air ducting. Move it up to the air box for intake temperature instead of the uninteresting ambient temperature :p

i had mine cable tied to the air filter hose. no real point. just couldn't be arsed to refit the inner arch..

  2. i believe it can be done using mk4 golf ones. 256?mm

but to what benifit i'm unsure. just uprate the fronts properly and make sure the rear calipers are working. talk to jabba sport as their g60 demo car has it.

but i cant see it being any where near easy. nor any better.

  3. sorry henny this will sound silly. but the mark on the flywheel. is that 6' or is that tdc.

if it is 6' all i have to do is line up the dizzy with the mark on body.?

  4. just go down the breakers and pocket a lamda from well.. any car. or by a new one from universal lamda world.. or somthink..

if you do decide to run it from the std sensor. it's the pink wire.

i run two on mine ,the ecu one and a second one for the afr gauge.

  5. well thats what i thought, cos the v5 is a vr6 but minus one piston. only i'v seen one cheap. and thinking of 1st and 2nd gear bits for gear box swapage.

    just woundered about gearing.?

but lets be honest it'lll never actually happen..! i'm far too lazy for this sh1t.

  8. My front bearings only lasted 2 years aswell, but they were GSF natty ones. I hope the VAG replacements last longer!

they where ecp ones. multi drill disc are ok. there loads of space between the holes.

i was going to use tt discs. but didn't.

  9. henny, cam belt and tensioner where only changed 2k ago.

i'm taking some coolent to get the hydrocarbons tested. then a compression test. but the heads coming off any way. going to get a CNC head. yippie.

  10. the head may well have to come off. i always thought those metal head gaskets were indestructable. -but i hope it is just that.

the charger was rebuilt only 2k ago. if that. by daz.

theres no mayo on the filler cap. but i removed the breather and the cap and steam poured out. waters in there some where. may just have to bite the bullet and whip the head of on saturday.

    so shopping list. :

    gsf head gasket.

    head bolts x10

    inlet gasket x1

    exhaust x4
