I have a mk2 golf one and a corrado one (not sure which one I'm going to use yet) so will have one of them up for grabs but I just need to get round to it. The mk2 golf one is pretty much identical though except it doesn't have the section that goes back to the bulkhead Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Having read into this you can also use one from a G6O if you can find one, you just need to remove the rad bracket from your existing one and weld it into the appropriate place on the replacement one. There is a thread on the forum somewhere with photos Edd

My point being finding an original vr6 one in good nick could be a challenge [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is there any from any other Similar era VWs that can be used. I'm sure I have read you can use one from something else but you need to cut a hole In it for pipework. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all Apologies if these is a concise thread on this but if there is i can't find it. I am finally getting round to sorting out putting on the B12's i bought a year or so ago and i have a new set of wishbones, droplinks, bushes, engine mounts, bolts etc etc to refurb the front end drivetrain I know the wishbone bolts from the subframe can be a pain so I previously managed to secure a VR6 subframe as a "just in case" My front subframe/cross member has quite a bit of surface rust, radiator supports seems good and the main subframe seems okay with a bit of rust evident. So i have decided i may as well get the spare subframe refurbished as well as the front subframe/crossmember and have it all (re)fitted at the same time So whats are peoples opinions on the best route - sand blasting/soda blasting/chemical dip and then powder coat or paint Also any recommendations on anyone that can provide me this refurbishment service, i am based in Worcestershire/Herefordshire. Have to agree too I'm afraid; for my part I picked up a completely original 1 owner from new 120k storm (with full history and original bill of sale stating storm from the dealership and comprehensive Fsh) a few years ago for just over £3k in excellent condition with only a 50p size of rust bubbling on one wing. I would say Persons (who want storms in particular) generally want them in or to get them up to a very good condition and that's costs money... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Stolen from elsewhere "the flare on the arch on the late wings is about 10mm more, difficult to see unless you have them side by side, more important though is the re-profile of the wing/bonnet joining line, they are different and early and late mixes will not give an even panel gap, the curve is different. They will fit but to those 'in-the-know' they look wrong." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Early ones are slightly different width IIRC will need to check Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok so looking at the photo the new owner of Sean Jaymo's vr6 put up comparing the standard vr6 springs, the correct b12's provided by Eibach in replacement of Sean Jaymo's defective ones, and the defective b12 that sean Jaymo received; and then then comparing them to the rear springs i received in the same group buy as Sean Jaymo mine seem to look the same as the ones that were deemed defective suggestions, do I go to Bilstein/Eibach first or put them on and see, what does everyone reckon? I think Bilstein wont even listen to me if i can't prove there is anything wrong and even then any form of buyers warranty i may have has will be long gone, over 12 months ago, group buy etc etc Can I just purchase the correct rear springs on their own now and sort it right first time, i think i'd rather just do this than faff about and get pi*&ed off with it all

B12 dodgy batch Right folks so I bought a set of the Bilstein b12's from Mk3 Highline in the group buy in March last year but still haven't got round to fitting them yet, (The Rado did about 50 miles last year). It now needs an MOT so thinking about getting the suspension fitted at the same time; however i know thatSean Jaymo and others encountered problems with a dodgy batch and the rears being too low when fitted. (Sean Jaymo got his at the same time as me on the group buy) Is there anyway I can tell if mine are the affected ones or not before I go to the expenses of paying somebody labour to fit them? Edd

VR6 Corrado 1994 Breaking. Metallic Blue, Grey Leather interior
edd replied to corradocamperdude's topic in Cars for Breaking
Hi, did the wings go, i'm after a late o/s with NO rust :) -
New coilpack sorted all. Running beautifully actually [emoji3]

new coilpack sorted it went for a BERU in the end due to a price and availability that suited me, the old coilpack was also Beru and looks at though it was from 2009. before rhis is closed down were my concerns regarding running on 5 cylinders for 30 miles up the motorway and the associated unburnt fuel and potential for lambda probe damage way off the mark or could this be an issue? edd
