Seems to be completely random so   :?
-
I have what must be an early G reg and it has an adjustable steering column...and even the rest of the "mod cons"...
-
Yeah, I'd have to agree.....but I thought that driving around with the interior pannel closed kinda defeated the whole purpsoe of fitting a glass moonroof in the first place :?
-
The passat moonroof looks really well on mine....and makes some difference on the amount of light in the interior! It seems to be slightly more curved than the orig sunroof. So I had to play around with a few spacers to get it to sit flush with the roof. There is a small increase in wind noise, but nothing too bad!! I am going to refit it soon to try and reduce it though!!

On German ebay  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7949576723&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT apparently most parts are there (from what I can make of the add using a dodgy German translator  )

Yup.....well it's a Northern Irish plate!!
-
Ahh....should have been more specific maybe!! Will be changing the front calipers for Brembos, but keeping the rears standard for the moment......so the front two Goodridge hoses wont fit then...No?? Pm returned Darren
-
Yeah, could be interested  Is it a full set of front + rear lines in the kit, or front only? How much you talking about? Price I'm looking at from the local place is just over 40 Euro plus VAT, plus delivery! (for two front lines)

I'm in the process of ordering a set for a brake upgrade! But the car (1.8 16v) is in storage at the moment so I cant measure how long the flexi lines are at the front!! I could take a guess at it, but could anyone give me a more accurate idea? Thanks!

Ahhh...my pic was too small anyway!!!!

This might be of some use  http://http://www.fourstarmotorsports.com/Cata ... ram_01_new[1].gif

Isn't the ET the distance from the centreline of the wheel to the mounting face on the inside of the wheel? therfore a spacer will move the mounting face further towards the centreline and reduce the offset/ET?
-
Yeah I thought the ET sounded larger than usual! Will double check now...before I even think about buying them!!
-
Great, cheers!! If I did have to put in a larger spacer such as a 23mm....it wouldn't be too wide to be safe etc?
-
soooo!! I've been looking for wheels to clear the same set of Ibiza Brembos (not fitted yet!!).....I found a good deal on a set of 16x7's...but with an ET of 42. So then 23mm spacers would be required!!...is this possible/realistic/safe?

Whatever happened to the orange Max Power project Corrado?

I think it was up on Ebay a few weeks back!!! -
Will be doing a conversion in the next month or so....so will let you know the difference between the 256mm disc + calipers anyway
-
It's pretty easy to change them! (just had to invest in a new one for mine  ) After removing the headlight.....(3 screws).....the black plastic trim around the glass comes off with a bit of encouragement with a screwdriver!! The glass is then held on with 10(?)....small metal clasps around the lens, which can be levered off with the same screwdriver!! Just be carefull because they tend to fly off and get lost...I think there is now one less holding my lens on

Sorry to just jump in on this  I just bought a set of these from German Ebay! From looking at a few auctions they usually go for €600-€750   I managed to get a set including delivery for around €600 from the guy selling this set, delivers worldwide aswell -> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=40187&item=4509275126&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Decent guy...went out of his way to help out with payment/delivery 8) 8) 8) 8)

Managed to get it sorted...thanks! Apparently its one from an estate and all!! Thought it would have been the exact same type of roof in an estate and the saloon though?
-
Hi, Does anyone know the parts numbers for the passat moonroof? subframe etc? Might have sorted one for cheap from a breakers and I just want to be sure it'll fit
-
Yeah I've ordered a few bits from Germany. We'll impressed with the E-bayers themselves......extra postage costs ontop of the stated price are a bit turnoff though!!! Also they don't seem to do Paypal at all

MFA switch, position2: 1: Test sum of programmed bytes 2: Intake manifold vacuum/pressure. 3: Engine RPM. 4: Momentary fuel consumption. 5: Signal from speed sensor. 6: Oil temp. 7: Ambient temp. Hope its of use to someone!!!!!
